More recently we can add fine performances by Matthew McDonald (well played but maybe a little lacking in fire and passion for my taste) and Mikyung Sung (daring, beautiful, tender, exciting, powerful, and definitely not lacking in passion).
i just started working on this piece recently, and i am amazed at how effortless you make the sixteenth arpeggios and runs look in the second movement, they will definitely take me a while to work up. any suggestions?

I do not know what he was using at the time, but in recent years he has preferred strings by Gerold Genssler (generally in high solo tuning).
