Went back and was very displeased with the excuse they sent me away with (something about no more security update support). Naturally I was not looking forward to making further expenses to buy a new phone after having just spent money to fix it. My previous phone had similarly stopped connecting to mobile networks, and that even ended up costing me my job (though luckily that was for the better). This process fixed BOTH my phones! so now I even have a functional backup! This is amazing, Thank you!!!

When they opened the phone they told me there was some discoloration possibly due to water damage.

I hope there's still way to fix this.. :(
