I am growing cucumber for the first time in UK. Two small cucumbers and about 6 male flowers. I created a teepee using 4 bamboo canes but love your method. The cable ties idea is ingenious and one to remember. Maybe use it on bottle gourds.

I am impressed with your ability. I would cauthion people regarding the defoliation of the plant. The leaves are the factories of the plant. That is where the science and magic happen. The fruits themselves don't need that much sunlight. I know a lot of cannabis growers that like to defoliate and I am not one of them.

That’s for air circulation and to prevent diseases.
Never water from above and prevent splashing soil up onto plant. Trim bottom leaves so they do not touch the soil. These things help prevent disease on the plant
