You'd be right if we could have fallen the tree downhill, but uphill was the only possible direction to send the tree without breaking several mature maples, which are worth more to us than losing ten inches of lumber off the butt. Not only that, but most of the large spruces in that area had been hollowed out at the base by ants, like this: th-cam.com/users/shortsSKoNyAtV4Rc Luckily not this one, but we couldn't have known that before cutting 😉 Thanks for watching!
I appreciate the calm entertaining video. So tired of the zoomy flashy stuff. Peace and safety to you and yours.
Very cool. Thanks Sarah
Thank you 🙂
Nice video and good job 👍 Take care and have a blessed and safe week 🙏
Thank you! You too 😊
I was curious what value / purpose all the small sticks in the stack at 17:12 have ?
It's all the hardwood that is too small or not straight enough for the sawmill. It's really great firewood!
Another Great video. I always ask myself - why that cut? Why not a Notch cut - then Hinge cut then Back cut?
Thanks so much! By hinge cut do you mean a bore cut? If so, it wasn't necessary, the tree wasn't leaning much 🙂
Yes, A hinge cut is also known as a Bore Cut. @@TheRealSarahCatherine

Good beutifull 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Je suis sur que tu aurais été capable d’abattre cet arbre toi même , ce n’est pas plus compliqué que de le faire avec des plus petits 👍
Merci! C'est drette ce que m'a dit le gars qui l'a coupé, mais j'étais pas à l'aise. Peut-être le prochain 😉
You are way to beautiful to be running a saw, but good for you! Your a bad ass
Thank you! That's very kind 😊 I'm glad you liked the video!
Die 661 läuft nicht optimal ! Kette zu stramm auf der Schiene ???
Halo sobat. Luar biasa
great you will cut big trees soon watch and learn and ask lot of silly questions.
Thank you! I hope so 🙂
I assume that he uses the traditional cut rather than the Humbolt cut because it is more about killing trees than getting lumber.
Kick rocks you hippie lol
