Yes, you can turn the lights off and if you would like to just have the light feature around the woofers and get rid of the blinking LED's you just hold down the light button for about five seconds and will have only subwoofers light show with no strobe light effects. This is the best review of the Partybox 300 by far. There are, at least, two versions of the Partybox 300. The newer has just this label at the back: 1:53 I mean, you can recognize it because it says "Partybox 300". The older version it's similar but it does not say "Partybox 300" BUT this is important, because the older version has a lot of problems when you try to pair it to another partybox 300 through TWS feature. When you´ve paired them the older sounds lower than the new version, amongst other things. Another problem that I've found in the older version is an annoying delay with echo when you use a microphone (and/or a guitar) and it turns impossible to use it as a Karaoke. So, be pretty sure to buy the one that has the label shown in minute 1:53 because JBL doesn't advertise about it. I´ve sent it to JBL, they upgraded the OS, but it didn't change anything, so I returned it and got the newer and it goes fantastic with my other Partybox 300 via TWS. Finally, as mentioned in the review, it's imposible to use any Partybox 300 to watch movies, TH-cam, etc., because there's a delay (or latency) between the video and the sound.
For the price of one Soundboks you can get two PartyBox300s. I'd like to see a comparison of two PartyBox working as left and right speaker versus one Soundboks.

Soundsboks sounds massively better here. I also wonder how well a home-built system would perform for the same money. Even more so with used drivers.
I think the most cost effective option is to buy 2 partybox 100s and set them up in stereo. The pb 100 is only 250$ right now brand new. If you spent the same amount on pb 100s as the cost of 1 soundboks, you could have 4 pb 100s and daisy chain them together and that setup would destroy the soundboks.

On the second bass boost button mode when you say that it sounds like it does when it’s plugged in. Does that mean it sounds like what it sounds like when it’s plugged in with the bass boost or on normal mode?
Are you saying when you press the BASS BOOST twice, it sounds like it is when plugged in. To me, Bass Mode 2 sounds a lot worse than 1. Makes it sound muddy and too much upper bass whereas Mode 1 goes deeper. Which mode are you using in this video?
I have this party box along with the Marshall Woburn! the Marshall kills the party box, bad thing is the Marshall isn't portable! the bass response on the party box is a little bit better, but the Marshal rules on the mids and highs!
Get JBL PB 100 insted, trust me. It's much better, weighs less, the bass boost button works so much better. The only drawback is that it does not last that long as JBL PB 300. But overall you are much better off with 100.

It is stereo, but since the tweeters are so near each other, you wont really get any proper sound separation. Still better and airier sounding than straight mono though.
Depends on the use of it. If you want to be loud, and have a festival speaker go soundboks. If you are going to stay home/ use it carefully go with partybox

Does this speaker have any latency in WIRED mode? I had to return my UE Hyperboom because when I wired into the aux port there was a fraction of a second of delay between the sound going in and the sound coming out. This made it absolutely useless for any live music--imagine trying to stay on beat when there's a sizeable fraction of a beat between the notes you play and the notes you hear!

I have JBL Xtreme and I want to make an upgrade... Still undecided if buy the Boombox 2 or Partybox 300...
Partybox bro
I just got a pb 310 for my house and the thing is unbelievable.
You mentioned a voice delay while watching a movie. Q: Did that happen while connected by BT ? Or the line-in RCA ?
Are you saying when you press the BASS BOOST twice, it sounds like it is when plugged in. To me, Bass Mode 2 sounds a lot worse than 1. Makes it sound muddy and too much upper bass whereas Mode 1 goes deeper. Which mode are you using in this video?
Hes using both modes
If u turn DSP mode on the partybox 300 IT Wil Play louder to turn IT on Hold bluetooth ant volume down botten for 10/15 seconds ant IT Wil Play louder
Be careful doing this it can blow out your speakers, that’s how I ruined my charge 4
I have this party box along with the Marshall Woburn! the Marshall kills the party box, bad thing is the Marshall isn't portable! the bass response on the party box is a little bit better, but the Marshal rules on the mids and highs!
You sound like a guitar player
The 300 and 310 PartyBoxes are excellent options for street performers who need to sing and play guitar for that extra income
Which one has a better sound 300 or 310? And does the 300 have echo feature for the mic?
Really cool video I’m looking on getting a job party box 300
Get JBL PB 100 insted, trust me. It's much better, weighs less, the bass boost button works so much better. The only drawback is that it does not last that long as JBL PB 300. But overall you are much better off with 100.
PartyBox 100 is good but comparision to the new partybox 200/300, PartyBox 100 is mega SHIT
@@pepermint2539 What the hell does "much better" even mean.
@@zacharyshort384 it has 160 W instead of 120 the Jbl partybox 300 has. Jbl partybox is powered by 14.4V battery while pbox 300 is powered by 7.4V battery
@@pepermint2539 100 has 2 x 5.25" Woofers & 2 x 2.25" Tweeters , whereas 300 has 2 x 6.5" Woofer, 3 x 2.25" tweeters. If "better" means specs then I much prefer the latter.
Does anyone actually understand the bass boost button? Press once get more bass press twice makes it sound like it does when it is plugged in? What about when it is already plugged in, what does the second press do? The instruction manual just says press to enhance or restore which really does a good job in complementing the confusing UI with an even more confusing description.
I have one, press once for boost, press twice for BIGGER boost, press a third time to restore to default bass. You'll hear the difference after a half-second pause.
Soundboks sounds a little bit clearer.
But I like the Bass orientated sound of the JBL Partybox 300 too.
I need a loud and portable speaker that could allow around 100 people to hear. We are planning on doing indoor and outdoor events. Would this speaker do the trick or would the Soundboks? Thank you
I have the partybox 1000, stunning sound it has 😁
Omg thanks for the review
dont care for the led lights can it be turned off?
What app are you using to measure the audio frequency?
I have the PB1000 and love it. Got the 300 so I could bring it with me places and I love it.
If you want nothing but a box with speakers , it's okay.
Im courious what the frequency response graph is :)
i bet it's a carousell , many lows , a big ol' hole in the mids , and a roll off on the highs.
Dumb question...is it stereo... or do you need two?
You need two
It is stereo, but since the tweeters are so near each other, you wont really get any proper sound separation. Still better and airier sounding than straight mono though.
Who else listening to this on JBL speaker?
Would you recommend 2 PB 300 or the New Soundboks? I am torn trying to decide.
Jbl Partybox 1000
Depends on the use of it. If you want to be loud, and have a festival speaker go soundboks. If you are going to stay home/ use it carefully go with partybox
I am looking to purchase a Speaker with Bass and Highs for my boat with great battery life and clarity. I decided to go against installing a full system due to cost and wanted to know in your opinion which speaker to go with. JBL 310, Several Harman Kardon speakers or something else?
I have the chance to get this right now (on clearance) for $259. Should I buy it while I can? I wasn’t exactly looking to buy one. But I do realize this is almost half the original price.. So should I??
Had this thing blasting on a small garden party. The Police came at night. So... its good I guess :D
You didn't mention inbuild fx on this party box
I have the party box 300 is great!!
I will prefer the soundboks 3 cuz it has surround sound than the PartyBox 300 and i dont like the LED in the PartyBox and the soundboks is just clean design.
Yea, I agree with you, soundboks sound better and wayyyyy louder and has a better cooler look
The soundbox is too bright on the tweeter, the jbl party box 300 has a deep soundstage,
Hi just need ask something about partybox300, i just bought mine a week ago, when im playing music in it in high volume after that track it instantly go back to its regular volume 40% on the next track, i have no idea why and how can i solve that problem? Is their any way i can set up the volume mode... Thanks in advance for your advise..
Mark Lester Chua it’s a bug with something, you can increase the volume directly off the speaker and it works
Go too your developer mode in your phone (android of course) and turn on "automatic Bluetooth connection"
I have a home theater system that i use for karaoke and other, is it okay to replace that with partybox 300 instead?
What type of home theater system u got? And how much it cost? And max output on wattage?
@@oswaldozavala8182 all i know is its model is vsx-531,with 2 tall speakers, another left, right and center speakers
I have the charge 1 right now and i want a better soundbox. Should i buy this?
Buy the partybox it's as good as soundbox and cheaper 2x basically
nlc Dgtrucker alright thanks
@@chico4ezz365 No the only thing that the partybox is better at is that the bass drops a little bit deeper but the soundboks sound clearer, way louder and bass hitts much harder
@@thespeakerguys-testingspeakers hahaha the bass Hits harder there is no deep bass in the soundbox it's like it can only go down till 70hz the partybox goes down till 35hz the bass hits much harder the soundbox only has upper bass and the soundbox isn't that much louder get 2x partybox 300 and it destroys the soundbox
Whats your favourite speaker in the $300 range
Jbl extreme 2🤘
did he say the jbl 300 is not louder than the jbl boom box ? how
U should include the JBL party box 1000 or do a video comparing it whit the soundbook
There is no match partybox smokes it
nlc Dgtrucker but i mean comparing the JBL party box 1000 whit the soundboocks
I believe the party of 1000 is wired tho and not portable so it wouldn’t make sense to compare those 2 if that makes sense
@@andree121 there is already a com and it smokes it no comparison
Can the XLR guitar plug be used to run dj decks? Left and right speakers?
I am confused between 1 Sony MHC v90w vs 2 LG ok99 vs 2 jbl party box 1000
Are all three small speakers suppose to make sound because the bottom left small speaker don’t work bought from amazon please respond?????????????????
Partybox 300 2year owner here.
Only two small speaker play music at the same time to make a stereo sound.
When you turn your partybox 300 to its side the bottom speaker plays.
It has a orientation sensor. Test it.
I’ll try it when I get home thanks👌🏻
I tried it and it works thanks alot👌🏻
Can you do a comparison on partybox 1000 and soundboks?
1000 is 2X better oluv gadgets has done a review on both and let’s ust say it’s 2X better ust not portable
