The #1 Kill Joy. I've know a few people extremely allergic to furry animals so they had fish and reptiles instead. Just a thought. Anything I can keep as a pet I want, will maybe not some things. I mean, have you watched The Dark Den? He has "pets" I don't think I could own.
I've had 3 hedgehogs now. Little bit of tips: she's going to start losing her quills soon, don't worry. She'll be super grumpy and it's painful. Bathe her with Aveeno oatmeal baby wash and a little bit of coconut oil as needed (I wouldn't do more than twice a month). Mealworms as treats are great. A lot like the mint stick cat toys. Carolina Storm Wheels are the best. Hedgehog Happenings page on FB can be super helpful! Congrats on getting Momo

Brooke Nagel yep I like that too. When I had my first litter of kits (baby rabbits). I was asking around seeing if anyone would like to be a proud owner when they are older. Only a few people were interested. Of course I asked questions. Just to make sure. One of them in the end couldn't take one bc personal reasons. And the other one I was quite disgusted she was even thinking about it. She has a really jumpy dog that's outside alot. And she wanted to keep them in her shed. Her shed is tiny , falling apart and no light!!!! Her dog would kill them in a couple of hours. And then when I said no she kept trying when the other litters came and was giving me terrible advice constantly and saying I would do this and I would do that trying to get me to give one to her. Never happened luckily. She was going to do everything wrong and they would have died!!!! In the end I managed to re-home one from the first litter and one from the second litter together. NOTE : all the litters were accidental. They are being cared for here and healthy and happy. No rabbits were harmed . And the doe only had 3 litters in one year and is in perfect health she will never have any more litters of will any of the other ones.
Back when i was 10 or so my mother and i found an abandoned rabbits nest. We covered it up and waited but winter was coming soon and after not seeing the mother come we uncovered them and got them inside just im time. It started storming! I love animals and they were still drinking milk, we reared them all on our own and even managed to keep all of them alive! They lived with me in my bed room so i could feed them and when they got big we made sure they went to go homes. I made sure i saw the person first hand and where they would care for the rabbits. Some people are crazy huh. Glad she didnt trick you.
(Ps no shelters or more experienced people would take them in. Thats why we raised them. Also my mother had lots of experience with newborn abandoned animals.)
I love her ! She will be an excellent addition to this pet family!

I currently own two hogs, Primrose & Poppy. Unlike most hedgehogs, they enjoy their company and tend to sleep together, eat together and play together. When I bought them I couldn’t deal with separating them as they have such a strong bond, as mother and daughter.
