- Time Lapse of the drive from LA to SF along California Route 1 Pacific Coast Highway. With stops at Santa Barbara, Carmel, and Santa Monica.
Camera: GoPro HD Hero2
Music: Blu - MitiS & MaHi
Driving through Big Sur is indescribable, thanks for igniting some good memories!
I drove one of those two lane mountain roads in this video in a big rig many years ago. It looked like a short cut around us101 at the time but then once I started going up and up and up, it was too late. Needless to say, it was a nice drive. I am just glad my trailer was empty. I have recently started doing time-lapse; some with my old trucking videos and now with my personal vehicle. I don't travel much right now so I just do what I can in my local region. I just hope I can start getting as many views as you are getting. GREAT VIDEO SIR.
Absolutely fantastic video and music
I was really sad when this was over - awesome work!
Amazing!! Wonderful combo of vid + music. I thought I was playing Asphalt 8: Airborne with perfect nitro.
Many thanx for the uploader.
Great video. This drive is so much nicer than the 5.
This video proves that you can travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco via car in just 3 mins and 50 seconds.
very nice, I sufficiently enjoyed the use of music together with the moving images on screen. They truly created a more moving and entertaining effect during my viewing of the video.
Why thank you kind sir, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Great video, hoping to go soon!
Awesome
great vid and music! :P
Fantastic !!!
great video :D I'm going to Las Vegas for 4 days and then to Los Angeles by car for another 4 days, I'm thinking about doing the trip to San Francis but it might not be enough time to enjoy both cities.
Toad - ly. Awesome dude.....
Thanks heaps for this. :D
Thank you!
I'm gonna book a flight from heathrow to sfo and drive down to LA one day ;)
I'm going tommorow so I watched this lol
this was back when devil's slide was still part of hwy 1 and tunnel construction was going on wow
great job my friend ..how much the distance between LA and San Fran ???
This is a great video! Just so you know though, this song has the exact same chord progression as "I lay me down, I'm not my own". I'm not sure of the band or song name but it's a Christian worship song! hehehe
Thanks, I used iMovie.
If driving on California State Route 1, the distance is around 800km.
Very nice music. What you used to edit the video ?
You don’t understand how much California highways scare me, driving along the edge in Malibu gave me a heart attack! There was no railing!!
Awesome video! what time lapse rate did you use please? doing the drive next week from San Fransico
Thanks! I actually filmed the journey and sped up the video. Didnt technically use a time lapse rate with pictures
ok cool thanks
at 2:45 theres a big roller coaster in the top right corner
That's Boardwalk Santa Cruz
so cool. how long did u shoot this?
It looks great, congrats! What settings did you use?
im going to make a similar time lapse video but i wont be pausing the video.. any recommendations I'm taking the same route as you and will be doing it 1080P i have 128 gigs to use I'm going to make a NON stop recording from LOS ANGELES where i live to San Franscisco etc......Any recommendations on settings?
Hey, how long did it take you to do this drive? My husband and I are going to America in June/July next year and were thinking we could space the drive over two days :)
Georgia Carey how was your stay here in America?
I loved TDU2, but currently I'm loving me some Forza Horizon.
California so beautiful......Can I ask you a question ? What is song name ?
its called 'Blu' by Mitis & Mahi
I didn't saw any gas Station. After how much miles is mostly a gas station? :)
I was thinking about asking my fam to road trip from LA up there but it is 7 H drive...
What's the title of the song?
I live in Monterey and I know exactly where he went from 2:06 to 2:17. Passing the tunnel under Fisherman's Wharf he exited Foam St., then turned right on Drake Ave., turned right on Cannery Row, and then left into I think the Monterey Bay Inn.
The first part of the song does, I should have said. LOL
takes 8 hours to get there i will have the camera recording for 8 hours .......but going real fast...?
+THEPLANETEARTH bad idea, it will take up too much space and editing it afterwards would be a absolute pain. Most of the time, you can only make it a certain length by speeding it up. You're better off finding a way to take pictures at intervals for that length
I'm going to do this drive in Feb, how long did it take?
Well we didn't do it all in one go, we did it leisurely over 3 days and 2 nights. Stopping off for the night in San Luis Obispo and Carmel, while doing sightseeing on the way etc.
What intervals were you shooting at for this to be so fluid? I just posted one that is so choppy in comparison.
i actually took a bunch of videos, and just sped it up
So much was cut out...
Santa Cruz
Music feels inappropriate for the content.
from east to west INDIA is the best.
Is it ?
hes an idiot. indian drives are horrible. unless is north east India or deserts in Rajasthan@@deangmoxon
Stoping at portola lol
Love this lapse
No offence offered, but why do people make/watch these films?
+Shannon McFarland because I'm stuck on east coast florida can't get away now small hlf hour vacation before bedtime lol
Because its awesome..
The drive on hwy 1 is like being inside joy..for real yo...it's the ultimate thrill ride and it costs you nothing
So I'm not the only one who enjoys recreational use of drugs.
Shannon McFarland have you ever driven the Oregon coast and the California coast??? Its like magic it's the most beautiful trip you will ever take on the most beautiful road you could ever take.. If every car had a camera on the dashboard or the hood it could all be uploaded to the web to make a "living" map
Just to give people some ideas on where they want to go for their next road trip. I'm definitely gonna do this one day.
