It is not a complete school curriculum. If your kids are preschool or early elementary, you could use it for science and the poems could be incorporated into English, but I use separate curriculums for things like Maths and Reading/Writing.
We also love WNWC! 🌱 We are using it through A Gentle Feast, which schedules one theme over two weeks (week one is the walk and info, week 2 is the extension activity). I gather some of the supplemental books and use the poetry and paintings suggested as well over the two weeks. Such a rich curriculum!
Thanks for sharing. I have enjoyed all your curriculum videos. With the nature study and the Comstock book, do you read the sections out loud to your kids? I have that nature book and always have trouble figuring out how to use it. This nature study looks fun. I like how everything is including, poems, read-aloud, art, etc.
Yes, I do read the sections out loud. But I would only do one, maybe two, sections at a time because they are dense. I usually read it as they are working in their nature journals. It is a nice curriculum, especially if you need some guidance or inspiration in nature journaling. Thank you for watching!
I love the Exploring Nature Curriculum. We used it last year for fall and part of spring. My goal is to use it all 4 seasons this school year.❤
That's a wonderful goal! I hope you have lots of fun!
Oh gosh, thank you for sharing Julia! I'm honoured that ENWC is a part of your home education.
Oh, it has been a wonderful part for many years! Thank you!
Does this cover subjects covered in school? E.g. Maths, English, Science?
It does not go over math and English. But a lot of people use this as their science in early elementary school
