  • I love seeing the progression of how far I’ve come since starting dance therapy. I love that dance is a tool God uses to love on me and heal me from the inside out. This piece is so significant for the season of life I’m I’m right now. Living with MdDS and MAV has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to live through. This is proof that surely, you can dance in the storm. My brain is stuck out at sea, but hope is the anchor for my soul.

Awe, thank you. It's such a blessing. And it's helping me with balance and motion perception.

Katelyn James I’m so glad this encourages you. I just recently tried Zumba again. I did ok, lol. Definitely harder to go more fast paced with loud music. I just went to Mt. Sinai in NY for treatment. Hoping Zumba will be a little easier now that I’m not rocking so bad. Please let me know how it goes 😊

👏 Another beautiful victory dance! Great job, you are looking more and more steady in every video.
This dance seemed faster than many others you've uploaded. Did the faster movements cause any more of a trigger than your previously uploaded dances?
These videos are such great inspiration to all #Warriors that we don't have to be limited or defined by our illness. 💕 keep up the great work!

You're such an awesome encourager. I always look forward to your comments. This dance was definitely a challenge. I fell several times putting it together, and spent a lot of time taking grounding breaks. Also, I couldn't figure out how to turn off the blinky party light 😂 so, my eyes would catch them, and noticed my vision was worse for a few hours. More bouncy. But, I think ultimately facing those sensitivities and pushing through, is the very reason each dance therapy session, I'm able to push myself a little further. This beast will never steal my fight or my joy. As long as I'm breathing, I remain hopeful, I'll continue fighting, and celebrate every victory to its fullest.

@@beautifullybroken9373 I was wondering about those lights! I always get goofy around flashing lights, but I thought maybe you just upgraded to some high tech spotters. 😂🤣
I think you're right about pushing ourselves to do the things that trigger symptoms. I think avoiding them all together is how many can get stuck in a rut and forget how to enjoy the small things in life. My job is fast paced and can get really disorienting but having no choice but to force myself to get through it, is probably what's helped me keep functioning and keep enjoying many of the small things that have always brought me joy. I grew up hearing the saying "no pain no gain" and I think there's definitely truth to it.

@@LifeRocksMdDS 😂😂 high tech spotters 😂😂 love it. Couldn't agree with you more, can't get stuck, have to embrace all we do have, and lean on those moments for joy, they are a gift. Treasure them, don't lose sight of those things are you'll get lost even further at sea.
