    Thanks for taking the time to go through Stutter Edit. I've always hated the interface and found it waaay too complex to work with but you made me change my mind.

    I bought this thing after watching this video. I'm already having a lot of fun with it. It's going to take me a minute just to wrap my head around all the things Stutter Edit can do. Thanks for the cool vid!

    BT Legend, and long time inspiration. This is one of those products that was designed with vision, expertise, and comprehensive detail resulting in a tool that does a thing in ways that makes everything that came later look diluted. Great video and nods to a musical genius 😎🖤🙌🐘

    Ive had stutter edit 2 for months and haven’t done anything with it besides demo the effects. I used to use stutter edit 1 a lot but for some reason This one didn’t click for me. I knew you could now get it to play as an audio plugin with auto mode but didn’t know how to do it. All I knew is the old way of midi control. Some great tips and hints to how this thing works under the hood. i quickly got frustrated with the new version because its so different than the original which was also super complex to use. These explanations are helpful in rolling your own.

    I generally playback at 1.5x. Not here. There were times where I slowed things down to .75x so as not to drop what you're putting down. Amazing tut, as always. Thx! :)

    Amped to see your tutorial! I actually got the demo of the first stutteredit but didn't like the sound of it, I much preferred Glitch 2 because it was easier 😋 but also sounded better to me.
    Recently I got stutteredit 2 and made an effort to make friends with it. It sometimes sounds out of time and that's what put me off it. Buuut learning to tame it and build it up from a simpler gesture and understanding the buffer and stutter functions is a game changer, thanks man.

    I really wanted to see the panning effect. There's no other plugin I've found that has panning, so I wanted to see if it will do what I want, which is pan the movement of the curves/stutters (like an autopan or tremolo bouncing from left to right).

  • @tq2769

    What if I don't want it on the master track effecting every instrument? How do I set it up so that S2 just affects the audio from one instrument track? I can't find one single video that shows you how to set up S2 in MIDI mode to affect one MIDI track, say the Jupiter 8 from Arturia. How is that done?

    • @SeedtoStage
      @SeedtoStage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just put stutter edit on the track you want it to effect. You can then setup another midi tracks output to that track and select stutter edit under that.

  • @tedrosner8024

    This is a great video. But I can’t work out how you are seeing the stutter edit at the same time as playing push. For me, to use push, I need to be on the midi track, which makes stutter edit disappear. Does this make any sense? Thanks!

    Does anyone else find that this plugin causes Ableton to crash when opening a saved project? By disabling all plugins whilst loading a set then through a process of trial and error I have discovered the plugin causing the issue is Stutter Edit 2.

    I still can't figure out how I can set Stutter globally so that I can only grab the wet signal without the dry one. I'd like to use it as kind of a glitch effect only cutting out bits and parts to fill up my already existing drum loop but sometimes the effects overlap with the loop so I can't cut the audio in a practicable way.. Is there a way to set it up so that I can only get the wet signal to record?

  • @SHLDMusic

    Great plugin! But I have too much plugins 😁 so I wondered how to do this only with stock ableton plugins... automation curves in one midi track sent to the master track? trigger the automation clips with a MIDI controller?

  • @welliott
    @welliott 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Anyone know how mute the audio track if a MIDI note isn't playing?? In other words, if SE2 plugin is on "Audio Track 1", I ONLY want it heard if I'm triggering SE2 via a MIDI note. Otherwise I don't want the audio to be heard. ....there's gotta be a simple solution either in SE2 or Ableton (besides manually automating the track's volume).

    I'd like to apply stutter edit at various moments and then mute it inbetween. For convenience (and precision), I'd like to do this via midi trigger notes, of course. What kind of stutter edit patch do I create to mute the sound?

    Great tutorial. But I suggest that people not spend there money on this. Out of all the producers I know. None of them use this in ANY of there productions. Great idea, but just a gimmick. If I'm wrong. Show me one successful track on Earth that uses it. Just saying :)
