Unfortunately, we're in that season right now. Two of my 4 have passed in the last 6 months and Chad lost one of his grandmas a few months ago as well.

Awe Skye I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your grandpa, I know it’s hard, but what a great tribute u did for him, sounds like a wonderful person, great video as usual, I did get some of the items u showed already because yes things picked over, I got the tree u were thinking about, matching wreath and picks, I leave up pops of red after Christmas n I leave the pine n add snowflakes then n take down stockings etc. after Valentine’s Day I take the pops of red down n just leave the snowflakes n start to change over to spring in March, I live in pa we do winter, n it’s no rush, January is to catch a break from the hustle n bustle n get reorganized atleast I need to n get ready for taxes n the year ahead as well as February,! I don’t have little kids n I mainly do seasons n not so much the holidays but I decorate 2 houses so it’s enough plus my dads room in the nursing home for the seasons, other than Christmas n maybe a little bit of a symbol like a heart in the main rooms or a flag or bunny etc. I don’t go crazy n make it blend n thank u for sharing, big hugs, many prayers of comfort, n much love to u n your family, please hang onto your faith knowing he is heaven and that he lives on in n through u all, take care! ❤️🙏🏻🎁💕⭐️

Skye what a sweet tribute to your grandpa! He sounds like an amazing man. The Target where I use to live (north of Pittsburgh, PA) was awesome! Since moving to Texas (in the country) the closest one is in a college town & it is awful! 😢 I miss a well stocked store! My home is very neutral with live & faux plants as pops of color. I also do not decorate for Valentine’s Day. When I had littles we celebrated on that day similar to what you do. I don’t remember decorating for every holiday when I was young, we didn’t have extra money & it honestly wasn’t a thing. 🤷🏻♀️

I'm finding more and more that most people don't go all out for the smaller holidays like Valentines and St. Patty's day. Yes, I truly believe we meet our loved ones and what a joyous time that will be! Until then, our memories will help us get by! Our Target is so bad...we didn't get one Studio McGee item. I have been ordering some items online, but some items won't even ship to me. I live between Chicago and Milwaukee so it's not like I live in a swamp somewhere. Yikes! My next closest larger Target is also about 30 -40 minutes away. Ugh!

So sorry for your loss. I am astounded how the healthcare system is operating since COVID. They obviously should have kept him as he was a fall risk. I recently had a knee replacement and they keep you overnight then kick you out the next day. We couldn't get the knee to bend enough to get in the vehicle and the comment was"well you can't go back to your room". One painful shove later and I was in the vehicle. Just amazing. I’m so sorry to hear your grandpa passed💔 My dad is 83 and falls a lot too. He fell last summer and couldn’t get up for 3 days. Thank goodness a neighbor came to the door and heard him calling! He was in the hospital for 2 weeks. He’s still driving but shouldn’t be. I’ve tried to get help but no one does anything. It’s an ongoing stress. ❤ Your grandpa was very handsome and looked like a wonderful man! I lost my mom in 2015 and my precious daughter in 2016. Both passed from rare forms of cancer! My mom was my best friend also. My daughter left behind 2 wonderful boys. They’re 10 years and 7 years old. Our family is doing much better now but it took years. We just took our family to Disney World in December. It was a great trip! Your family will feel better but it will take time. Grieving is a process. Take care💕

Awe Skye I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your grandpa, I know it’s hard, but what a great tribute u did for him, sounds like a wonderful person, great video as usual, I did get some of the items u showed already because yes things picked over, I got the tree u were thinking about, matching wreath and picks, I leave up pops of red after Christmas n I leave the pine n add snowflakes then n take down stockings etc. after Valentine’s Day I take the pops of red down n just leave the snowflakes n start to change over to spring in March, I live in pa we do winter, n it’s no rush, January is to catch a break from the hustle n bustle n get reorganized atleast I need to n get ready for taxes n the year ahead as well as February,! I don’t have little kids n I mainly do seasons n not so much the holidays but I decorate 2 houses so it’s enough plus my dads room in the nursing home for the seasons, other than Christmas n maybe a little bit of a symbol like a heart in the main rooms or a flag or bunny etc. I don’t go crazy n make it blend n thank u for sharing, big hugs, many prayers of comfort, n much love to u n your family, please hang onto your faith knowing he is heaven and that he lives on in n through u all, take care! ❤️🙏🏻🎁💕⭐️

Skye what a sweet tribute to your grandpa! He sounds like an amazing man. The Target where I use to live (north of Pittsburgh, PA) was awesome! Since moving to Texas (in the country) the closest one is in a college town & it is awful! 😢 I miss a well stocked store! My home is very neutral with live & faux plants as pops of color. I also do not decorate for Valentine’s Day. When I had littles we celebrated on that day similar to what you do. I don’t remember decorating for every holiday when I was young, we didn’t have extra money & it honestly wasn’t a thing. 🤷🏻♀️

I know the feeling! It's a bummer when you make the trip out and they're out of most things. I'm finding more and more that most people don't go all out for the smaller holidays like Valentines and St. Patty's day. My mom never decorated for those either, so I suppose it's just what I'm used to!

Hi Skye! What a beautiful tribute to your very "sweet" grandpa. Your children will be able to look back on that video and be able to remember him as they get older. Yes, I truly believe we meet our loved ones and what a joyous time that will be! Until then, our memories will help us get by! Our Target is so bad...we didn't get one Studio McGee item. I have been ordering some items online, but some items won't even ship to me. I live between Chicago and Milwaukee so it's not like I live in a swamp somewhere. Yikes! My next closest larger Target is also about 30 -40 minutes away. Ugh!

So sorry for your loss. I am astounded how the healthcare system is operating since COVID. They obviously should have kept him as he was a fall risk. I recently had a knee replacement and they keep you overnight then kick you out the next day. We couldn't get the knee to bend enough to get in the vehicle and the comment was"well you can't go back to your room". One painful shove later and I was in the vehicle. Just amazing. God bless you and your family.

My dad is 83 and falls a lot too. He fell last summer and couldn’t get up for 3 days. Thank goodness a neighbor came to the door and heard him calling! He was in the hospital for 2 weeks. He’s still driving but shouldn’t be. I’ve tried to get help but no one does anything. It’s an ongoing stress. ❤

I lost my mom in 2015 and my precious daughter in 2016. Both passed from rare forms of cancer! My mom was my best friend also. My daughter left behind 2 wonderful boys. They’re 10 years and 7 years old. Our family is doing much better now but it took years. We just took our family to Disney World in December. It was a great trip!
Your family will feel better but it will take time. Grieving is a process. Take care💕
Oh my goodness. How stressful for both you and your dad. I'll be praying that he can get the help he needs. I've seen how my parents have been walking through this season of aging parents, and I know it's hard on everyone.
