Hey Scott! Billy player here, you might not care. But I believe endfury lopro will hinder your mastery rather than help it! Knowing that pallets are a threat to you forces you to try to play around them rather than just endfury/lopro for free
It surprises me how few sabo players know to bring anti-slugging perks. I mean, aside from DCing, it's the natural counter to sabo-ing. You only really need one perk to sabo-Saboteur. Yet everyone runs built to last, streetwise, breakdown or other additional things to sabo more hooks. Never unbreakable or tenacity or anything else to recover from getting slugged as a result of sabo-ing XD
Scott I recommend Lethal BBQ Enduring Infectious. I personally use the yellow turn and engravings (for old charge times), having slowdown I feel is something to fall back on. opposite of wesker you actually want to establish dominance of the pallet to crash less on curves. with overdrive I'd recommend angling outwards and curving, dialing back your start point as well
I have seen those missing hooks on this particular part of the map since the rework. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens pretty frequently, at least for me. It doesn't seem to be just a badly generated instance.
im just gonna say it, i dont think you're going to learn billy much using enduring+spirit fury+lopro+mix etc. you cant learn to play on tiles if you just rammage through the pallets like a madman. you cant learn collisions of certain objects if you dont have to play around them. your build is counter-productive to your intentions. -billy main
Im not necessarily a billy main but I've been dabbling more since the rework and the add-ons I think help but dont get in the way of learning billy are any of the overdrive ones since that just lets you learn overdrive control better and then the undetectable/silent chainsaw can be fun for a change of pace where you can go for cross map chainsaw hits but not change the basekit too heavily and interfere with the process. @@ScottJund
nah lopros are awesome, I've played Billy for a very long time without lopros and only recently started using them, and I feel like theres a whole portion of Billy's skill ceiling missing if you choose not to use them
@@ScottJund drift billy addons, bumping recovery - anything but lopro and mixes. using them is like picking up bamboozle - you're gonna win more games, but not gon learn much.
Honestly, I'm not sure if Petrified Oak isn't bugged a little. I swear it wasn't making such no hook zones previously. And I've noticed quite a lot of survivors decides to use it (there's like 2-3 games with this offering per day). I guess killer could run Rotten Oak, but what's the point? Even if you bring one they might have burned like 2 or 3 at which points survs offering wins and still gets its effect (I think, assuming what happens with fog offerings).
Oak offerings stack with each other, either taking away or adding to the effect. You can bring a Rotten Oak offering to counter survivors trying to do that to you, to a point. Rotten Oak offerings reduce the distance between hooks by -2.5 meters, while the survivor's offering increases the distance by +1 meter, so you can counter up to 2 of them, and greatly reduce the effect of three or more.
@@Mulberry5 also, a third oak will tend to be ignored by map generation (as maps have a minimum amount of hooks that can spawn and a third oak would reduce the number below the minimum)-only large maps _should_ allow a third oak offering to have an effect. This makes a killer bringing their own oak a good trade-off in almost every set-up! On the other side, the only reason to bring four oaks as a survivor is to specifically counter a killer's offering It's entirely possible that hook placement has gone wack again, though. It's happened before, it'll probably happen again.
If I may be so bold as to suggest such, I believe the main cause of your travails in this match was a blatant and quite inexplicable lack of deep gratitude to McLean.
Yeah, the Hook on top of the Main Building probably ruined it for you (in combination with the Hook Offering, but the Hook was the main culprit). Another point that Hooks on the upper floors of Buildings should not exist. They can become like Basement, but they can also really make it harder for Killer, since there is not really a way to get there from the ground.
I feel like I've had that same issue on The Game - where I ostensibly have multiple hooks "near me" as the Nurse travels, but none I can reach from stairs or dropdowns.
@@Katana314 Yeah, this can happen, but for The Game it is unavoidable, because it has two stories over the whole map. But I think they can tone down the RNG for most maps anyway. RNG was important back in the day when the game was new, because you only had 3 realms and not that many maps. So you needed RNG to make the games feel different. Nowadays you have so many Realms and Maps plus a Map Prevention-system. No need for RNG to be that crazy anymore.
I just finished an older tome challenge which required me to sabo 4 hooks while within 10m of the killer while they are carrying a survivor.. i felt like i was being called every name under the sun while doin it :p
They actually could've won pretty easily if they had abused that corner not having hooks. If everybody stayed on those gens and whoever gets chased ran decently far, one person slams the gen while the other unhook; and if they all start getting to death hook just become a pre-run Andy. This really could've been so much more frustrating of a match, W survivors for not being asswipes
I honestly think most of this can be solved if they tackle hook spawns first, because some maps are ridiculous. Sabotaging should be a strategy in the game but should never be forced into a slugfest just because of map RNG.
Sabo REALLY doesn't need looking at dude... I swear some of y'all only want Survivors doing one thing and one thing only - holding M1 on a gen (and then complain about gen rushing). What DOES need looking at is the garbage RNG that is hook placements. I had a match a few weeks ago on The Game as Twins and I had a grand total of THREE hooks in the entire downstairs portion of the map. My first chase was completely nullified by the fact that I couldn't physically reach any hooks, nobody even needed to sabo. Guess DBD really wanted me to slug with Twins I guess. Sabos are fine, hook placements are broken.
There's a LOT of toxic things that need to be looked at from both sides. Keeping it focused though the worst part about this is that the 'counterplay' to excessively slug which is considered toxic from the killer. As Somers commented too, some spawns are REALLY bad and if the survivors figure that out, they can basically be unhookable. Also as this game shows it's even worse when someone dies that the only hook in an area is removed. Background player too makes hook saboing extremely easy. Boil over on top of that... just ugh... wasn't in this game but some people do this. Of course then when they call YOU toxic for slugging when they basically give you no choice because you're not playing their stupid unwinnable game of letting them wiggle off constantly. Ugh.
And ofc you didn't get 4 stacks of grim until the end of the game... and last survivor you hooked was obsession. Every fucking time you use this perk I swear it's cursed.
She “consoled” into a locker…pc and console both do this you can’t change the bind between vaulting and throwing yourself in a locker (which is stupid)
When the hill is named billy idk I never played the killer
When the low is pro
billy is so much fun now after the buff, id try him out he's truly awesome!

14:28 was probably the fastest consecutive pallet breaks in dbd history
True!
This is worthy of a yt short.
Sabotaging hooks in Dbd is as annoying as a sniper in an FPS game
This reminds of the time that I got in a multi semi auto truck accident on Gas Haven.
The Lopro into EndFury into chainsaw to finish it was *chef’s kiss*
that felix with built to last was refilling her box so she kinda had several alex's
Why the devs thought Billy bouncing off bushes made sense is beyond me. He should be able to cut them down lol
Lopro chains really does make this killer look way more satisfying than he is.
