@@deaineraturner4917 The dimensions are 5'wide x 2' deep x 30" high, but I have some sizes that I personally think are better for a boa on my website. If I were to do it over again I would build my boa a 4' wide x 2' deep x 4'high reptile enclosure, which I do have on my website talkingserpents.com
@@talkingserpents I do love it. It's easy to manage and hold onto while maneuvering mid size to larger snakes. I used it on our 17lb, 9ft Burmese, and it was much easier than my standard hook(hook shaped) just because of the straight end, which made pulling her to me, much easier on both of us.
@@Dom10Sage5 Awesome!! I'm really glad you like it! 😊 I agree the large L shaped really helps with larger snakes since large constrictors get to be very thick in diameter. My reticulated python is the snake that inspired me to make that hook in the first place. 😁🐍

It's nice to see someone that actually cares about their animals. I see so many people stuffing big snakes in tiny enclosures and its really sad. I think this idea that bigger is bad is ridiculous. I understand the logic behind stuffing a baby snake in a 10 foot enclosure, but adult snakes, with proper places to hide I've never had an issue with. My 64 in Suriname is getting a brand new enclosure next month and it's going to be eight feet long 4 ft high and 3 feet deep. I'm going to do a video of it when it's finished but it's getting close and it's gorgeous. My anaconda is 5 1/2 ft and her enclosure is 11 by 6 by 6. Now I'll be the first to admit that is large for her size but it's split into two sections. Wet and dry. So Pond is 6 by 6 and it's two feet deep and filtered. With a drain and a hose for cleaning. And the dry side is 5 by 6 and there is a sleep slash hide chamber below the floor of the enclosure. It's 4 by 6 by 2 and it separately heated. So she's going to have three hides and the enclosure is going to be filled with fake plants and other places to hide. I never once have told someone that they have to go to the extreme that I did with my anaconda. I just didn't want to have to. Yes!! I agree 1,000% Thank you for the comment!!! The problem is that people have been keeping reptiles in small enclosures for so long that it has become normal. 🤦♂️ There are too many people in our society that would rather hear believable lies than unpleasant truths! Since I have lived in Texas I have noticed that people get much larger enclosures than the people that I used to build enclosures for in California, and the reason is space. It has been nice seeing people be selfless 👍👍👍😎
love your setups. cages are so beautiful. your snakes look so healthy and clean. i was just thinking about that anaconda if it needs a bigger water bowl to fully soak in? love your stuff glad i found your chann.
Thank youbi appreciate that. And you're 100% right my anaconda needed a water bowl. A month or so ago I built a much larger one. It's one of my recent videos if you're interested. 😁🎉

The metal window track is actually aluminum C channel that i got from home depot. The way I made it work was to screw it in and then put 2 aluminum spacers on top. That way I could get the glass doors out. I don't use this window track anymore, since its complicated, more time consuming, and overall doesn't work as well as plastic window track. Now I use plastic window tracks. Much easier to install!
Just bumped into your channel looking for dyi reptile enclosure I don’t have snakes but I have bearded dragons I been bench watching your videos love how you take good care of your snakes & gecko i have seen videos that makes me sad & angry all your snakes they look so healthy & well taken care there so beautiful I wish some people were committed with there reptiles as some other peoples are say hello to your wife it’s good to be with some one that loves the same things and support you all the way by the way you should sell those thermostat holders as well I be interested in buying a few it more easier then the suction cup and my bearded dragons keep knocking them down and for my feeders just an idea 😉 new sub & fan
Tharros's new enclosure is 5ft/60" wide X 24" deep X 30" high. The branches I used are called grapevines. They're specific for reptiles. I got them at a reptile expo, but you can also get them from reptile shops, and even online.
Thanks for the info! My boa is in a 3' enclosure and it's time to upgrade him! What do you keep your temperatures at? From the cold side to the hot side? Also do you use under tank heating or is all your heat come from above? Also what do you keep your humidity at? We've had our boa now for 6 months and there doesn't seem to be a lot of information online about how to keep them.
@@ziariakagler7292 I just like to keep a nice ambient temperature in the center of the enclosure, but the how side shouldn't be no more than 90°F for this enclosure.
Hope you enjoyed the video! don't forget to SUBSCRIBE! :)

If they are both 40 watts why do it say 60 watt for the daylight on the link thing and how hot do it on the warm side
