Leave a comment. 40 years experience and I apparently do EVERYTHING wrong!
So far on FB before I turned the comments off:
    1. I do not think drilling a hole is a good idea, that in my opinion is cutting and weakening the integrity of the weave in the lining. I've lost count on how many I have fitted and never had any issues in just driving the rivet through.
    2. NO - I have seen many early rivetted brake and clutch bands over my lifetime, the way the old brake band was put on originally is the correct way to do it. The lining material must be countersunk with the head of the rivet inside!
    3. Wow, I had to stop watching, sometime TH-cam is not the place to doomed jobs
    4. I also stoped watching . Use an al to form your pilot hole. Do not cut-drill!
So which is it? Drill or no drill? I'm confused. #3 - that's not even a coherent sentence and #4 - "Stope" guessing on how to spell words - use a dictionary. If Al was here and I tried to use him to form a hole, he would probably say "I don't think so Tim" and hand me an AWL...
I make these videos TO HELP YOU PEOPLE. Is everyone in the Model T hobby a horrible hate filled person now? GOOD GRIEF
    BASH AWAY!!!!

No need to drill a hole in the lining, unless you want to ruin it. Use an awl to separate the weave in 2 spots so the rivet can pass through.

My QUESTION IS. DO YOU USE A 3/8 X 24 SELF-LOCKING NUTS ON THE CONNECTING ROD BOLTS?
