    After having visited Matamba Bush Camp in Limpopo - one of our favourite campsites in South Africa - a number of times over the years since we started the channel, we thought it was about time to do an updated review.
    We always book our stay directly with Matamba (www.matambabushcamp.com/).

      😅😅😅 Well if you're properly prepared, and you select your tent position cleverly, then it's generally all good.

      We have a trip to Mpumalanga planned, but it's been a bit difficult getting confirmations so it's a bit up in the air. Still getting our travel plans back in order though after the lockdown disruption.

    thanks so much for the video! Matamba is definitely our next camp excursion, thanks travel gigolo! May I ask you on your tent? Is the canopy an added extra or does it come with that kind of tent already?
    Keep the videos coming they are great, thanks

      Hi Jonathan, thanks for the positive feedback. We love Matamba! Great spot.
      The canopy came with the tent. It's a Junior Safari bow tent. I did a review, and a long term review as well.

      Waterberg Wilderness, and Syringa Sands are in similar area and also really great. I've done episodes on those as well.
      Zvakanaka near Makhado is also good 👍🏾. I also did an episode on that.

    Great review, and definitely would love to camp here. I am student studying in Pretoria and so have to camp on a budget from my Honda Jazz. Are the roads in and out the reserve suitable for sedans and small cars with little clearance? Would a vehicle like a Honda Jazz make it?
    Thanks for the great video 💯👍🏼

    • @TravelGigolo
      @TravelGigolo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The road from the gate to the camp sites is easily traversable with a normal sedan. Out first visit there was with a Nissan Livina so I can attest to this. The short dirt road to get to the gate is also not a problem although there will likely be corrugations. It's only about 2km long, so basically just a few minutes even if you drive very slowly. Hope you get to camp there, it's a great site.
      Thanks for the feedback 👍🏾

    Pty you need to buy wood, the wood used to be free, but people sadly have taken advantage of it :(

    • @TravelGigolo
      @TravelGigolo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes used to be free, but I suppose it was inevitable that it would have to be purchased.
