Outstanding value when used.
This is my favourite car, I love driving it. Mine is a 2007 model so no sat nav etc. I don't know if it's a common problem but the auto gearbox died at 120k, needed a total rebuild at more than value of car. Still worth it coz in 14 years it had no MOT failures (apart from tyres, seems to have a real problem with tracking). Drives like new now, and as it's a diesel I don't have to worry about the E10 debacle...

honestly one of the nicest rides i have ever owned...i have this model D5 2.4 but i have the SE, not the LUX model, only difference is it has no satnav and built in phone, it has 150K miles on it and it still drives as new as the day it come out of the factory. volvo outdid themselves, especially when these cars are equipped with the 5 cylinder engine both with the T5 and D5 engines. the 2 litre engines are a waste in my opinion only because of the weight of the car. The only gripe i have about them is the fact that by the time the P2 models came along ford pretty much had control of the building of them and it shares the underneith like suspension components with a ford focus ST.......and unfortunely the weight of the C70 is near 2 and a half ton which means the car suffers from suspension components becoming worn very quickly! basically the more u thrash the car the quicker they will wear......the other gripe i have is the cost of the exhaust system which can cost 2grand for a new system! i will be holding on to mine and looking after it because it can only go up in value. they are becoming kinda rare now.

Agree with almost all of what you say, except mine is the two litre 5-cylinder diesel, came with 177 bhp as standard, but I've had it remapped to 215 BHP, pretty swift I can assure you ! at 100k changed nearly every bush under the car as they were knocking and clunking like no tomorrow, put an adjustable upper control arm on the rear as this is a common theme for these cars to wear tyres on the inside edge which can't be seen without crawling under the rear of the car, so beware of this ! they are not adjustable as standard, so fitted adjustable ones myself which solved the tyre wear issue !
But yes they are heavy cars and wear out components quicker than normal, so at 100k I replaced all the wheel bearings, drop links, shock absorbers front and back (knackered) top strut mounts and bearings, front lower control arm drivers side, as this was clonking over a ramp coming out of my drive, but also caused my steering wheel to wobble severely when braking hard at over 60 mph ! So, if you get this don't assume it's a warped brake disc as I was told, I changed the discs only to find it didn't stop the shaking lol, but now the car drives like new ( and should do 😅) but I love it to bits, I'm happy to spend as much as it takes to keep it in tip top condition, because it makes me feel special, it's gorgeous roof up or down, and very few on the roads, you can almost guarantee you won't see another on the road !

Why here in the U.S the same car has more horsepower !? I own a 2013 C70 T5 polestar with 250 horsepower !!
