Thank you everyone that has been so kind as to watch this video and who have checked on me over the last several months. I still working my way back to 'normal', whatever that is, but I am heaps better than I was. I am going to working on getting back to my Across Australia videos this coming week. Hope to have that up for y'all soon.
@motobychance Robin, I'm glad you are doing better and I'm sorry to hear you had a "drug-pushing doctor." I can relate to the joint pain and subsequent depression you described. Have you tried the ultimate elimination? Eliminating all plant foods, including nuts and coffee, and eating only animal protein and fats (the carnivore diet) has given me my life back. Not only can I walk and hold a glass again, I just started riding a motorcycle! After suffering from severe debilitation, now I'm hiking, backpacking, and cycling-- I rode my bicycle across America this past spring!! I share this not to impress, but to encourage you. Thousands of people are reversing their joint pain, arthritis, and other chronic diseases by adopting a proper Carnivore lifestyle. Best wishes to you and a healthy recovery! Keep on riding strong!
Yay glad to see you back. My channel I decided early on to only put out content once a week, it's definitely affected my subscription rate but I'm ok with it. Stay safe Robin 👍
So Glad to see you back. Sorry to hear that you went through some troubles. My thoughts about being a content creator -quality over quantity… slow growth is still growth. I do what I can and let things happen as they will. Those of us who enjoy your work will be here whenever you can post a video. Just don’t push too hard and burn out if you do not want to. I am 57 and thankfully had an easy transition through menopause. No hormones here and only Letting the body do what it is meant to do. I pray your body normalizes and you feel good. Hate when they try to throw pills at you…often to appease.
I agree. I think most of us that still do 100% of our own work have to focus on quality. And that is a very good thing. As for my health, I really think there is something else going on, the doc just is resistant to further tests. Glad to know your path was a relatively easy one. You were blessed. So grateful for the natural treatment I have found. Want a couple more months to see if the results keep coming or if I have plateaued. Then I will share what I am doing.
Sometimes, you have to take time to help yourself. I'm so happy you're feeling better. That's what's important. I'm glad to see your video! 😊. Staff safe, Aly doing good hopefully.
I am much better. Still a ways to go to be where I want to be, but heaps better. And while North America was in a deep freeze, we were in a fryer. This day it cooled down to the upper 80s F (lower 30s C), so I took advantage! 😎
Robyn, Glad to see you back! Sorry you've been going through the problems. At age 72, and very male, I keep noting how I'm changing. I don't like it, but.... I still feel like riding. And when summer reappears, I plan on doing so. Like you, I stay away from all the drugs and walk at least 2-3 miles a couple times a week and every other week 5 or 6 miles. Keep active, it is good for sanity and health. Pace yourself and most importantly, Hang in there.
So glad you are feeling a lot better and are able to ride again. Just keep smiling at the world and take one day at a time Robin stay safe my friend ❤️
SO great to hear from you, Sis! We all have so much to learn about health and our bodies, and unfortunately, NOT from the sources we were brought up to trust. Helping my wife navigate through a triple bypass AND, the quagmire of politics in the medical arena all but wiped out the entire 2023 riding season for us. We're in our 70's now but still very interested in riding at least another 25 years. I'm currently a month into OMAD (one meal a day) and walking 5 miles a day in an effort to minimize or eliminate joint pain, and increase stamina. All that geared to ( hopefully ) a more enjoyable and extensive 2024 riding season. I appreciate your transparency. . . and, your courage! Thanx for the vids. PS: I tend to agree with you bout the "shorts" . . . I'm not a content creator, so WHAT do I know, lol.
I hope your wife is healing and coming back to being strong. My family, some in their 70s, still ride and want the same as you. To be strong enough to be riding in their 90s and enjoying it. Hope 2024 is a year beyond better than you are hoping for.
Glad you are feeling better. Do what your body will allow. Don’t push yourself to get a video out. You don’t want any setbacks. We will be here to watch your content as you can put it out. I’d rather see good stuff rather than just stuff to please the metrics. Prayers for continued healing.
Well I for one am glad you are doing better. You had me worried I’m not gonna lie. Do TH-cam for you. You know my close TH-cam buddies and we have all taken a step back to see what direction to take. You got a friend in me.
Aaaand now I have the Toy Story song in my head. 🤣 I was in a place where I was struggling, refused to put the negative out on social, and did NOT want to deal with ugly people making it worse. Ya know? I’m definitely on the mend and getting back to feeling good. Miss my brothers from home.
Robin, glad you’re back and feeling better, and as long as what you are doing works for you, then that’s great and to hell with what others think. In November I hit a patch of oil on a roundabout and parted company with the GS, so several broken ribs and £4k of damage to the bike later I am now back riding, but I now own a Helite air vest.
I’m very happy to hear that you feel better. That’s the most important thing, in my opinion. I’m sorry that you were not well and I think I can relate somewhat to your description of joint pain and I can imagine, I think, reasonable well how bad it was from your description. Do what makes it better and as said I’m very happy you got better. I had a though time from march 2020, when I got sick from Covid 19. Among many different symptoms were pain in joints I didn’t even previously noticed I had. and for months, years, worse some days, bad others and sometimes a little better. It’s much better now. But enough about me. I just wanted really to write that I’m very glad that you are better. Please tale care and I wish you the best. Sorry for misspelling or grammar, english is not my native language.
I started noticing a decline after getting the vaccine. Each one made me very sick and my overall health declined after that. I would say that after almost 3 months on my new treatment, I am almost back to where I was before. Now to rebuild my strength and fitness. Hope you are healing and feeling better. Living in pain is hard and I would not want anyone to experience that.
Still miss your old channel name. But things change and move forward and on up! so sorry to hear of your joint pain etc. That really sucks! But glad to know you are now doing better and getting stronger day by day! Keep spending time in the Aussie Sun and time in the good salt water of the Indian Ocean. Great to see a video from you again! Keep on Keeping ON!
Change is different. Took me 3 takes to get the into right. 😜🤦🏼♀️ It was a slow build over a couple of years, but the end of 2023 it was debilitating. I have a new respect for those that live with daily pain. BUT now I am healing and hope to be 100% again in a few months.
My long distance dear friend. I support your decision to research the medicine that would help you overcome your symptoms. Recently since September, my husband Colville has been having rapid weight loss only to go to his doctor who diagnosed him with overactive thyroids. He’s improving as the meds are helping. So, you decide what’s best for you and heal all in God’s time. Everyday will be challenging but just do you and make everyday a day you can say it was a good day.
Having lost my thyroid years ago, I have great sympathy for when the levels are off. Hope he continues to heal. And God has been good and has answered so many prayers lately.
So happy your back and feeling OK, good for you standing up for yourself with that doctor because you know you better than anyone 👍. Are you riding in and around Gidgegannup in the Hills as it looks familiar where a friend of mine lives. Glad your back 😎👍
Thank you! And I have found this issue with docs on both sides of the world, just disappointed in how it was handled. Ya know? Not sure. It was over towards the Observatory and towards Mundaring Weir. It’s one of my fave rides.
Great video. Lesson #1 - Take care of yourself first. I am currently trying to decide on my next HD and have found your videos very helpful. I wish I could type all the questions I have here, but it would take a lot of typing and reading. lol. I’ve owned several HD’s and now looking for the one that will do me into retirement and hopefully be the last bike I will buy. Been tossing up the touring line, including the RKS, SGS and RGS, since they no longer make the standard persons of either. Recently been looking at the heritage Softail as well, but still leaning more towards the touring frame, just because I feel it’ll be easier on my 50 + year old body which has been giving me issues lately. The Dyna I owned previously was basically not rideable for me any longer due to the vibrations in the handlebars. Do you find much vibration through the bars on Scarlett? And how does it compare to the softail you ride a while ago?
First, I apologize for how long it has taken me to respond. Had another round of issues and am just getting back into social media. I do not find there to be excessive vibration in the handle bars on Scarlett, but she is a RKC and I have upgraded here suspension to Legends. I would encourage you to test ride a recent model Heritage. Rode an ‘18 & ‘19 models and hated them. However, on a recent trip Tasmania I rented a ‘22 model and was shocked at how different it is now. Would actually buy one of the newer models as I to and in my 50s. See how it fits you. 🤷🏼♀️
hey budy found ya channel looking forward to your tasmania vids gotta question doctors there not always right mate you and ally rode like champions down here onwards and upwards robin ride safe cheers
HELLO AGAIN SWEETHEART! All that joint pain, is a result of moving to Australia. See, Oz is on the bottom of the earth, so you are now upside down, which stretches out your joints and forces them to compensate for your body getting longer. True story...
Well there you go. I thought you'd gone back to the US and dropped off the face of the planet but now we know. Damn doctors just want to give you a pill and get the next one in. So I guess the Aussie medical profession won't on your nice list. So with all your troubles did you get to NSW cause your videos just stopped after you'd crossed the SA border I think. Anyway hope things are on the up and up.
The medical system is something I could get on a soap box about. 🤬 Anyway, thank you. I am still in WA. I stopped the series because I needed to step away from editing. It was truly so bad, there were days I didn’t get out of bed. It was bad. Now, I am healing and moving forward. Hope all is well with you Charles.

TH-cam seems to reward quantity instead of quality. So frustrating. But I think what you do is good work and that is worth it.

Glad you’re feeling better Robin. You do you and produce what and when you wish 😎👌. See you soon x
Thank you my friend. See ya in about 2 weeks!
Glad to see you back - and WHOAH, sorry to hear about the pain and doctor trouble. I hope things continue improving :D #Rockin2024
The improvement over the last few months has been significant. Feels good to be a bit better week after week.

Thank you Doug. Those prayers are most welcomed. That is my plan, to produce things I am proud of at a pace that is healthy for me.
Very glad to have you back. Missed you. I've followed you since Texas. Nice to see scarlet again

Good to see you back! Hey, papaya leaves are excellent for cancer BTW. 1000%
Will have to check into that. Though I am 7 years in remission, a bit of prevention is always a good thing.
