Have little Wolf and Buddy made friends with each other yet? This is going to be a wonderful model to make. The African Walnut in this kit is beautiful. Nice work, John. 👍
I believe so Buck, the walnut will make her look fantastic!!! No unfortunately they haven't ,i hope that in time this will happen, i hate to have separated.
Nice to see the starting g of a new venture. Good to see proper size wood. This ship seems smaller than usual ships, a bit more compact. Looking forward to the build, and looking forward to seeing the new puppy grow. Regards paul osman
Hi Paul!!! Good to have you in this series with me! She is smaller but i think she will be gorgeous!!! And you will see Wolf the 4th growing through this series. He is already double the size!
Hi! Yes this is a good model, has a lot of detail and it is easy to build. Yes if i remember correctly the deck if flat. Yes also the mortars are as simple as it gets, no rigging on them. The stern is wrong, the officers quarters are on the level of the deck. You can see that only if you use LED lights. The upper part of the windows are covered by the deck.
Hi John. Have you ever looked in to useing a white glue for winter use? It has alot faster drying time. Like 20 min. We have it up here in the cold north. You can probably get it from Amazon.thanx for great videos
Hi John, hope you are well. Is the drill you use in this video a wowstick mini cordless drill from Amazon USA? Also, what is the smallest drill bit that will fit or can it accept any drill bit with a 3mm shank for example?
@@JohnsWoodenShips Thanks John. I’m thinking about buying one. I can tell you are enjoying building an Occre kit again. It is already looking fantastic!
John, out of interest how do you usually work out where to put LED’s on your models when building the skeleton? I’m currently building the Occre Albatross. My next ship will be the Occre Beagle and I will be rewatching your Beagle series and building along. If you had your time again with the Beagle, where would you have put LED’s on that ship?
@@stevennathan3803 I try to find out spots that are covered so the leds won't be visible and also the wiring. Hatches and cabins are the perfect place. The Beagle did not have many spots, if you wish to place leds the 2 spots you can do that are the position of the wheel and at the bow in front of the front mast.
Thank you very much for your kind words Francisco!!!
