Tried mine out tonight and it worked very well - pleased with how little smoke it had. I used a lot less wood and so got a small bed of coals for cooking in under 15 mins. Cooked sausages using a grill I already had and they cooked easily without burning. Great product!
WADZ UP Luke, I dropped you a question about your insights and thoughts earlier on these firepits but just found this video. Nuff said, awesome idea for cooking/firepits. I imagine the heat from the metal projects a lot of heat as well. Great little firepits, I notice on one of your tours you were able to pack in the small firepit and it worked really well. Those look awesome! We don't have anything like that here in the States that folds up so compact. I could have used that while vacationing in Big Bear CA, and Zion in UT. It's illegal in some States to have an open fire and most campers use giant tubs from an old washing machines which take up a lot of real estate. Great design Luke!

I have the large and small snow peak, nice, but I like this design a little better. Would love to see your firepit here in the States. I also like your option to bolt it together.

Have been building camp fires for decades & with fire physics , & cutting fire wood, in mind your design is superior to the snow peak
