My RV didn’t have a spare tire. I’m thinking carry this kit or a spare tire on the tow hitch. I much prefer this kit if it can temporary get to to a tire shop.

@@darockk Not true. I use sealant a lot in mountain bike tires. That does not happen. You have to rotate the tire so the hole is on the bottom so the sealant gets to the hole.
@@whathappenswhen4767 It is a valid concern. If the hole is at the top, the tire will not inflate or be slow to inflate because it will be leaking when parked. The Slime will not reach the hole to seal. Sealant only seals the hole when it is on the bottom because of gravity.
It looks like you can select air only. Pretty cool, I just ordered one. We have AAA but those ding dongs left my wife waiting for 3 hours last week in the middle of the night when she had a flat. I figure this is a back up that she would be able to do.
@@frankl1955 you can always call 911 and an officer will assist you with the proper tools in their trunk. That’s something the general public aren’t aware about.
I was doing 80, heard an odd pop sound. A few seconds later my lower air warning went off and monitored the pressure to notice that it was dropping fairly quick. I pulled over within 2 miles of hearing the pop with no tire damage. It was a 315/35/20 tire even. I forgot that I had this kit since I did away with the RFT. Ended up having AAA tow me to a discount tire for repair. If the tire explodes than that's another story.
This is crap, you’ll ruin the tire. How about you at least check for damage first and foreign object? As it’s likely to still be in the tire and keep it flat.
legally i would say what they say... someone could misjudge the results of a big gash, sidewall etc, crash and burn, then they would be liable, they have to protect the idiot element and their arses.

I’ve use this tire kit twice in my life. Twice it didn’t do anything and I had to take the tire to the shop
so I assume you have to keep this in your vehicle. What happens when you get a flat at 30 degrees in the winter. Will the "slime" flow?

No, it only messes up the tire. The rim can be easily cleaned.

maybe because the dam tire will rotate, therefore the slime pass through the whole entire surface area inside. (Some people lack common sense)
Some videos say roll the car backwards and forwards to spread the slime. The Toyota video says to drive 3 miles and then fill with air again.

What if there is a nail still in the tire?
Generally, with Slime or Fix-a-flat type product best to leave the nail in unless it looks like it will cause more damage by being in the tire.

On the freeway at 65, you get a flat tire. How is the tire not ruined at that high speed and 2500lbs of car on top of flat rubber?
