- In 2016, two-fifths of people in sub-Saharan Africa had mobile phones.
Here in Ghana, about 35% of the population own smart phones, while 40 % own basic phones, whereas only 20% are without phones according to a Pew Research in 2018.
In this report, Citi News' Nana Oye Ankrah, takes a look at the phone sale and repairs business at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra, which is almost becoming Ghana’s phone hub.
