    I use distilled water, to assure mold doesn't grow. I love how you mixed the Inca Gold on the right and painted with that gorgeous colors on your flowers. Very pretty.

      I love Inka Gold and I now use filtered water too. I also keep a piece of baby wipe in my jars to help slow the drying out process. Thanks for watching!

    The mould comes from putting your finger in the jar! Use a craft knife or similar and take a small piece from the jar and put on your craft mat and reseal the lid immediately. Then you can use your finger from the craft mat. By resealing the jar immediately..also keeps the Inka moist

      This is quite an old video, so I've changed how I use these. There was really no info out there when the product was initially launched, so I think we've all learned through trial and error! Now when I get a new tub I take all the precautions to make sure it doesn't start moulding or dry out. Thanks for watching!

    This is a very useful video as I have some Inca Golds but very rarely use them. So I'm going to get them out and have a go. Thank you!

    I have also been told to put a babywipe in the lid to help keep the moisture in.

    Chelsey, Just FYI. you have renewed in me a new love for Viva Decor...Well, there are a lot of VIva Decor products out there now...You have to be sure (meaning customers) to get exactly what your wanting...ie. I know, I ordered the paint thinking it was the paste by mistake..Anyway I found a site that sells the trial sizes and regular sizes and they said to use 'DISTILLED WATER" ONLY IF YOUR PASTE DRIES OUT....thought you might like to know that...they didn't say either way on baby wipes... thanks for everything you do Victoria

    After you smoothed and dried your journal do you buff it? Love the pages! TFS.

    • @ChelseyVorosmarty
      @ChelseyVorosmarty  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Donna, when using water with the Inka Gold paints I don't bother buffing. They have a different consistancy and sink into the paper when mixed with water. Thanks for the great question!

      Hi Stacy, I have a BBQ mat (2 feet x 5 feet) cut into two pieces and attached to my table top with strong tape. It wipes well, resists heat, pretty similar to the Ranger mat or similar craft sheets. Thanks for watching!

      Stacy m I got it from Costco a few years ago. I looked for it now, but I don't see it. Maybe try other places that sell bbq accessories.

    I tried this with water. I put some colors on bookpage, sprayed water and put vellum over it and then spred it with my fingers. It gives you colored vellum too so 2 things at same time. Only vellum gets curly and I managed to drop color on table and floor too... :D

    • @ChelseyVorosmarty
      @ChelseyVorosmarty  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds like so much fun! Great idea using vellum!

    I loved your video. The teal color is so beautiful. But I can't seem to find it online... Is it the Jade? I hope you can help me with it!
    Love from The Netherlands, Marcia

      +Marcia Mieth Thanks for watching Marcia! The teal colour I believe is called Turquoise. Hopefully they still sell it because it is a beautiful colour. The Jade one is more of a bright green shade. Happy creating!

    Were can I get your craft mat. I am in love it's huge

    • @ChelseyVorosmarty
      @ChelseyVorosmarty  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's actually a bbq mat from Costco that I cut in half and then stuck to my table with Scor-Tape. It works really well and stays in place. I think it cost $12.99 Canadian plus shipping, so definitely a better deal than most craft mats out there. It handles heat, moisture, etc and feels the same as a Ranger craft mat for a fraction of the price. Since I do a lot of messy techniques, this mat comes in very handy!

    Now, did you say that the bottled water we can buy in packs at the store is filtered?

    • @ChelseyVorosmarty
      @ChelseyVorosmarty  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You just don't want to use tap water because of all the minerals and other things in it. Bottle water from the store or distilled water will work best.
