This was a perfect trade for Boston despite giving up their “heart and soul.” Filled both needs by being able to fit Brogdon into starting lineup and having Tingus Pingus out there as the 4.

As a grizz fan, I think taking a step back and remembering that we picked ziare up as a project piece and sadly injuries have hampered his development. I think having a solid season under his belt along with him getting some mentoring from marcus on the defense end, we can see him things around.
100% agree Smart is a great addition for memphis. Not only is he an older guy with experience, but he also plays with the same intensity the grizzlies seem to want to bring- but he is great at doing that on the floor and being a sweetheart outside of it. And thats something he can hopefully teach these young guys. Give it all on the court and then chill the f out off of it

I think Marcus Smart is a perfect guy to put around a guy like Ja Morant because he is a real dude and he doesn't hold back his opinion. He will keep it all the way real with Ja and he can be a true mentor for him being that he came from thereal world that Ja Morant is trying to portray and I believe he will be able to get a message across to him that will possibly save Ja's career.

As a celtics fan i would like to see smarts jersey retired after he retires. I don't think it will happen but he was a pillar for the celtics for almost a decade. Sure yeah skill it shouldn't be retired but he meant a lot more to the celtics than just skill.

Those 1st round picks are so overrated when you consider that it’s the 25th pick tonight and the Warriors pick next year, which will most likely be in the 20s too. Then they gave up Tyus which hurts, but he would have left next offseason so you needed to get something in return. They still own all of their future picks and Smart has 3 years left on his deal so they can recover some of their loss by trading him if it doesn’t work out

I first started watching the Celtics just after the big 3 when I was like 4, so it was just Rondo and Avery Bradley with a weird supporting cast. I was never able to watch a really good Celtics team until IT came to Boston. Plus, most sports fans have a moment where they realize they love a sport, and it takes exciting, polarizing players to bring those moments

As a Miami fan this kinda sucks to feel. Hear me out, I know rosters change but getting to see the Celtics and Heat battle it out for the better half of this decade in the playoffs, not getting to see the same core fight with my favorite team isn’t gonna hit the same. I’m happy for the Celtics getting Porzingus but Marcus being gone just doesn’t feel right

A few times I've watched Marco's smart play during the clutch, he be thinking he is the closer of the team. And that's problematic. Why are you always taking the last shot over brown. How is that even possible? No, I understand. Celtics fans have a weird hatred towards the man, but to let smart consistently shoot more clutch shots over brown. It's unbelievable!
