Can you imagine praying and talking to Gid when He brings you up short. He calks you by name and COMMANDS that you go and do His will. Johnny, get this message out there again.
Johnny recorded this before Hurt. But he did mot finish the concept for rhe video mor get it out there.
All those cameos you see got together after Kohnny to get the message out for him. What a tribute.

The irony is that the people in the video dont realize....this song is about them.

The video was made after Johnny passed and all this artists came to pay homage to his influence on them. Every genre, every ethnicity, as music should be... I'm not sure if they filmed together or in bits, but it is beautiful to me that they do took the time to pay their respects.
The song's message gets to me every time... Be a light bringer is absically what it is saying

The chills you feel also have to do with most of the bars are the word of the Lord. Read your good book hon . If you feel like you may could be cut down can be due to the fact that Johnny's song inspiration could have come from God's urging to write a song that convicted a lot of people . There was no doubting Mr. Cash faith .

He is so good at making his cadences become the melody of the music. This one is a good example, it has just a basic underlying beat yet with his tone and cadence he is able to induce the rise and falls of emotion.

It's not a JC song but a cover version of a traditional American folk song. " It was first recorded by the Golden Gate Quartet in 1946 and first issued in 1947 by the Jubalaires. Since then, the track has been recorded in a variety of genres, including country, folk, alternative rock, electronic and black metal. The lyrics warn evildoers that they cannot avoid God's eventual judgment" quote from Wikipedia. 😊

You should react to the song "Further up the road" it's a lot lesser known but the lyrics are amazing and will give you chills. It's slightly newer one when Johnny Cash's music was a bit less popular given that times had changed and most of his fans had grew older etc. Also it'd be cool to see you react to an older song (90s) from him called "I hung my head" and a bit sad just to warn you. Another one that's a bit older but a good one is "Don't Take your guns to town". He had great lessons in his songs and people don't write like him any more. Hope you are having a good week!

How did I miss this a few days ago? 🤦‍♀️ (Probably because I was distracted by the Eminem reaction. 🤷‍♀️😂) And you’re not crazy about Rick Rubin…he produced this song. 🤯 How f-ing cool is that?
This is probably my favorite Johnny Cash song after “Hurt.” It’s not often that a legend living to that age and generally poor state of health can still put out such hard-hitting, soulful tracks (and has a voice that has held up so well). I’m generally not a fan of most country music, especially the modern twangy stuff about stupid crap. But Johnny Cash and Chris Stapleton are a special/different breed. Both amazing voices, amazing performers, with really soulful deliveries. I’m here for a reaction to any song by either of them! I think you’d really appreciate *”Fire Away” by Chris Stapleton.*

He’s telling us the truth and it’s right in front of our eyes yet we are still running after some illusionary dream ever evading our own understanding of self, a snake that eat its tail.
Luk 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
Luk 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

We lost real treasures with Johnny Cash and George Carlin. I often wonder what their reaction would be in this age of ultra political correctness and wokeness. Part of me thinks they'd have enough f u money to speak out against it. Part of me thinks they'd tow the line. Sadly we will never know.
