DZ09 Specs
Processor: MTK6260A 533 MHz CPU.
Operating System: Possible Fork Android.
Display: 1.56'' (3.96 cm) TFT LCD.
Memory: 128 MB.
Battery: 380 mAh 3.7 V/380mAh Li-ion 2 days.
Sensors: Pedometer, Sleep Monitor, Sedentary Reminder.
Note: This watch is Bluetooth 3.0. All functions support android 4.3 and up smart phones. But for iphone, it support answer & call, phone book, music play, camera, clock, pedometer, phone anti-lost alert, radio, sleep monitoring, etc. But not support SMS(with SIM card can be), remote camera control.
I got bored with my DZ09 so I decided to rip it apart. I was surprised to see an antenna within the watches wrist strap. I believe its the Bluetooth. The DZ09 is the second cheapest smart watch available on the internet right now and is super popular.
The unit is rather simple but seems durable and not too complicated to put back together.

No way to improve the camera, and if you dont have a video app your out of luck, friend!
You could manually change camera angle, as for camera - write an app, welcome to nerddom!
bro what is that square like structure that u inside strap; i accedently broken it so smart watch will work without it properly or is there anything to worry??
Either it's a network antennae or bluetooth antennae, or maybe both.
I've had a problem with my W90SMARTWATCH.it turn on and works but when i try to connect anything like Bluetooth or pressing the home button it frezzes and goes to a white blank screen.every time i hold the power button it turns off

What's the tab inside the strap is it the Bluetooth? My speaker was not very good so took it apart for the tab to be only just connected maybe it didn't have a strong enough signal die to the Bluetooth tab being very little connected?

Got a problem with DZ09 not turning ON. Battery was charged (4.5VDC) but I think that my issue is the battery locating properly. Disassembled the watch, removed straps and back plastic molding. Then replaced battery and all worked OK.
Microphone com (black) wire was loose so I will re-soldered in place tomorrow. I think I will have to move the battery contacts forward a bit but not sure. I also found a red wire that has no connection? It does not seem to stop the watch starting? KH
You might want to put a shim in the battery compartment to push the battery towards the pickups. Its a dirty fix but sometimes it works in cases like this.

I think part of the issue is the on switch. Mine is too large for the support. I havectried to move it but the tack glue holds it ofside. midnight jere in Aust so will look into it tomorrow. Might also buy a new one from a better supplier.

My DZ09 was working fine as a phone, then I took out the SIM to test another smartwatch. When I put the SIM back into this DZ09, now it keeps saying "Insert SIM". I don't think I damaged any of the contacts at all, since they all look the same as before. I'm wondering if you might have some insight into what would cause the sudden change of heart in this thing?

so I got my dz09 and I read the instructions. it said to charge for at least 2 hours before use which I did. it turned on and I left it on the charger now it won't turn on. what could be the problem?
Jordan Dokken-Ellis i have had similar problems with my watch. I just remove the battery and replaced it abc it worked fine after that.

Wedge something between battery and backing. The contacts aren't the best on the batteries sometimes. I have two dz09s and switching batteries between the two showed one battery made poor contact.

That is the cellphone signal antenna, if it breaks then the watch will not be able to receive signals, meaning it will not be able to receive calls and make telephone calls.

Some questions. 1 what is i put a camera much better then this one. exemple from a proken Iphone 4s will be much better pixels. Will that pixels work on that clock? 2, can i by my phone see what clock is recording by bluetooth? 3, how long worktime has battery? Ty.
The phone is based on MT6561 or related MediaTek feature phone chipset. This particular one and most of the related ones only support up to 5MP camera sensor resolution, and will absolutely certainly fail to synchronize with higher resolution sensors. The chipset is only intended to work with cheapest of GalaxyCore Inc. and OmniVision sensors.
Furthermore the connection/pinout may be nonstandard. Also, in all likelihood, software support is only included for the one intended camera module, that has generally been my experience with embedded devices of such kind, but i have not specifically experimented with smart watches. If you have extra modules around and are willing to test, i'm curious what your results will be, but i cannot encourage you, as there is always a risk of things going wrong.
I cannot understand your second question, and i cannot truthfully answer the third, as i don't have this watch and you will find different claims, from about 8 hours to a bit less than 2 days. The general consensus appears to be that battery life compares favourably with other colour screen smart watches from China.

It's proprietary. The antenna is in the band. You get what you get.

Excuse me dear sir, what is the antenna on the long end of its strap? If the strap gets broken and I want to replace it with a velcro strap where can I put the antenna? Because of wear and tear over time, the strap might get broken and I would need to replace it with a velcro nylon strap for long term durability. Any thoughts on this kind Sir?
+Giovanni Stanford I believe that is the Bluetooth antenna. Be very careful with that. The wire breaks off super easy, not too sure where you would put it on a new band though. Maybe just buy another? They are super cheap.

I tried that and it didnt work. Actually.. the screen touch works some times, and fails the other times. I dont know if its because of the weather...

Off the device Open back cover and use hair Drayer for water to dry also remove battery if it's possible

+kolovaxata I don't have this watch but I have the Moto 360 2nd gen and dealt with this when I first bought mine, I don't know exactly what I did to get mine to charge but the problem never persisted after words. Try turning it off Bluetooth, wifi if capable, and any form of battery usage than charge, if problem is still active turn it off while it's charging and let it charge for a hour, if problem still persists try turn it on a follow my first step and keep it plugged in all night
