In my point of view, Bobby Brown, Tevin Campbell, Tony Thompson were the best singer and performer in 90s. At that time, I lived in Korea and lot of people liked Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson during then... Didn't know Bobby, Tevin, Tony during then. I knew them in recent times by listening to KBLX, The Wave on the road. First time, I thought girl was singing that song. lol

Yeah that's a trio right there, all tragic endings at one point though. So sad.

lword1970 Yessssss lawd! Haters say what you want, but it won't make him less handsome. Bobby was Sexy, Fine, and Handsome 😍😍😙😙😙I am still a fan today "King " of R & B Bobby Brown. No one today can touch his swagger ('WoW'), stage presence, and charisma. I miss the days of Bobby (King of R & B ) and MJ (King of Pop ). They have been often imitated but never duplicated.

Robert Cuevas: You should make it easier on yourself & say “who didn’t do coke” cause that’s only a handful of people. Maybe you were just trying to validate his claim that Americans look for mistakes & something to criticize. Keep Drinking that hateraide though.

To be fair most singers back then weren't that great at singing but they made up for it with their dancing. We have "artists" today who are hardly good at either.

In this case you have both great singing & dancing. Bobby had a phenomenal voice with serious range & amazing pitch control!!! His decline was so rapid so people forget about his initial talent unfortunately. Had he taken better care of himself there’s no telling how long he could’ve been on top. His “On our own” vma performance compared to his “humpin around” vma performance is night & day! It’s like 2different people. He was so off to the point he just stopped singing & they edited half of the performance out for rebroadcast. Wasted so much talent. It’s very easy to do when your that young though.

To be honest it really doesn't matter who introduced him to it because when you're at the level of fame that he had at this point it's all around you. Once you reach a certain height people are always going to try to find ways to take you down to their level but the trick is to not fall for it. Plus once you start any of that stuff people will always want you to try something harder so they can get you hooked.

Only quality video of him performing this live and it has a 3 minute interview before it. People like sharing videos on social media networks but the interview kills it. This would probably have so many more views if the interview were uploaded separately and this just cut to the performance.
