    Then I used your discount code to buy my Wowgo 2S Max, so thanks for that.

    I really like that Onyx and my commute is all back roads with speed limits below 40. My rides about 10 miles each way so I think stock would be good enough for what I need. I just have no idea what I can get away with here. Either cops will think it's cool or I'll get stopped day 1. Unfortunately I think cuz it looks so much like a motorcycle I'll get stopped. That's a huge risk at $5k

    Haha, I feel the pain on this rain here in fresno and having to pay for gas. Before this rain started, I was riding every day to work. Although I enjoy the rain, I can't wait for this weather to clear up because I miss my commute on my super73 and my weekend night rides.

    Any good recommendations for people whose work commutes are a bit further Ive only been able to find 30 mph e-bikes and the 50 mph one's don't have good range. I'm desperately in need of an e-bike with at least 100 miles of range @ like 50-55 mph.

    If everyone wants a in between Ebike. GForce ZM is an amazing bike. Im thinking about buying one of these too. The ZM goes about 38 with factors. Its a motorcycle style with good bike parts. Only downside (to me) is the little decals they have on it.

    please try and get your hands on the Nireeka Revenant it might be the best bike for people who live on anything but the 1st floor lol and needs something faster than 28mph I'm thinking to get one because its weight, long wheel base for stability seems its light the long wheelbase should help at high speeds, full suspension and 35 mph top speed. I have a ripracer and its amazing especially since I put a front suspension on it but 28mph is too slow for the roads I'm on and 35mph - 40mph seems about right but its 66-70lbs and sucks carrying up and down everyday 7 to 5 lbs off would help alot i would think.

    Hey man great video as always I just wanted to know if you had any advice as to what angle the go pro should be at on the helmet
    I use a dirt bike helmet and the go pro mount is attached by adhesive but I’m not sure what the right angle to tilt the go pro is, too low and it’s only my body in frame to high and it’s only the sky in frame so any technique or anything to find the right angle?

    • @MrCentralDriver
      @MrCentralDriver  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dirt bike helmets normally extended far out so if it’s on the nose it might not be wide enough. Also I shoot on superview. Widest my GoPro will go without hyper stabilization because that crops in.

    Sweet ride. I got my X-class back in November right before I saw the Onyx black Friday sale. If I had known I would have bought the Onyx RCR instead.
    But the x-class is pretty fun and I have maxed the speed out at 37. This is my first e-bike so I figure I am good for now and it is a great commuter for work. If I get this x-class paid off before next black Friday, I will be getting the RCR!
    So last year I noticed that there were two battery options but when I look now its only the 41AH/10A listed. Do you have the 41AH on yours?
    Also did you buy Mulberry?

    • @MrCentralDriver
      @MrCentralDriver  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My onyx rocks the 55ah from chi batterys. Easy 55-60miles of range in traffic. X class is good but yeah onyx was smart lowering prices while every other company is raising prices

  • @midorian12491
    @midorian12491 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I know you always talk about the onyx being faster but I seen on youtube a guy hitting 80+.. I think if you go from a 4T motor to a 3.5T QS203 or QS263.. and switch out to a different controller to hit those speeds.. then tweak to sicko mode for the torque bonus. Lastly add the cooling fluid

    • @MrCentralDriver
      @MrCentralDriver  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can easily just swap the controller to something more powerful but you lose turn signals, stock display, headlight rear brake light alarm, everything. Unless you make your own harness and do custom wiring. Nobody makes a plug n play wire harness to work with a bigger controller yet.

    • @midorian12491
      @midorian12491 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrCentralDriver interesting..that's why I think the motor swap is optimal.. onyx uses the basic 4T which tops at 60mph.. unfortunately Kelly controller released an update which inhibits the top speed on the newer models..Someone in NY off reddit forums told me the owner modded his Onyx with just a simple swap of motors; from the 4T to a 3T QS205 w/ stock kelly controller, and adjusted the controller settings to torque mode and was able to hit 75+ in NYC during electrify expo. Something worth checking out to give a better experience on the Onyx.. I plan on doing this once I have time, and money. If only Onyx had a bigger modding group lol.. I think ppl just enjoy the bike stock since it's pretty well built.

    The random rotor noise you're hearing could be (probably is) a stuck piston (or two) on your brakes from road grime or more likely brake dust build-up on the sides of the cylinder(s). A stuck cylinder keeps the brake pad too close to the rotor -- so close that even just going around a turn can cause the rotor to flex enough that you hear the rotor rubbing noise. That's why applying the brake stops the noise and it can even force the cylinder to reset properly (especially if you pump the brakes). A temporary fix (like while on the road) for a cylinder that just will not reset properly is to just use like a pocket knife blade to push the piston back in to the brake housing (resetting it). Unfortunately the next time you use your brakes it may stick again. The real solution is to use a piece of string/twine soaked in rubbing alcohol and "floss" all around the sides of the piston(s) while you're squeezing your brake levers (like with a strap or having a friend do it for you). This will clean off the sides of the piston so it will reset like it should. I had to do this with my Juiced Bikes HyperScorpion at just 500 miles because the stock pads are resin and generate a lot of dust. I replaced the pads with metal ceramic, and I'm now at almost a 1000 miles and no stuck piston problems (and a lot less brake dust in the caliper).
    Sorry for the long comment -- hope it helps tho. Really enjoy your content!

    • @MrCentralDriver
      @MrCentralDriver  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      this is a brand new caliper maybe 200 miles. it did it right away. i assume the rotors are ever so slightly not perfect because this is my second rotor also. i had to rebuild this onyx as i got it used

    • @Internetpilot
      @Internetpilot 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrCentralDriver usually even a slightly warped rotor make noises all the time rather than randomly. But I'm not there looking at it and you seem to know what you're doing if you're basically rebuilding a used Onyx. Sorry I wasn't any help. I despise random brake noises!

    Hey man, really enjoy your content. Subscribed not too long ago. In this video you mentioned both powerful lithium and the CTY2. You also mentioned in the previous video that you are down to spend money on the channel for content. Floating this out there, and I promise this is not a scam. I had ordered a CTY2 for the holidays along with the upgraded 63 V athena battery from powerful lithium for it. I had a family emergency and had to cancel my order for the bike. But was not able to cancel the battery in time. I have it listed on eBay brand new and unopened. I haven’t had anyone hit me up yet for it. If you or anyone else you know is interested, let me know. I would cover shipping, and you wouldn’t have to pay sales tax, I also live in California, so shipping would be quick. And if you wanna confirm the validity of this, go ahead and look up the phone number for powerful lithium. Give them a call and ask for, V. He can verify the authenticity of my listing and will honor the warranty that comes along with it.

      @@MrCentralDriver I feel like bro. I’m out here in the central valley and no one out here rides. I appreciate you getting back to me though. I’d say keep the listing in mind in the future maybe, but with your relationship with onyx, you may not have a need, unless you find a used CTY2 to add a bargain price. Keep up the great content and look forward to what you get up to this year.🤙🏽

      I always thought that would be cool for some nice shots in the air. The only thing is, I don’t know too much about them. I don’t know what their max speed is. I don’t know the battery life I don’t know if it be worth the amount it cost to get one that follows you and has good specs and get my moneys worth out of it. I think I would be more worried about what’s going on with the drone if it’s still around me, then focusing on my video.
