    Great review. Enjoy seeing Florida. I been running in Hokas but I’m thinking about switching back to the glycerin 17. That’s why I watched the review. I found a pair of my glycerin 15s that were barely worn. I tried them on and dang there nice.

      That's awesome man! I'm really enjoying these shoes! I hope they're working out for you.

    Liked the review but I was on the brooks website and all I saw was three models to choose from as opposed to last year with 10 or so and I would like some more styling to choose from! Good review!

      Hey Steven, you're right. It looks like the Glycerin 16 is no longer for sale on their site. Thanks for watching!

    Hi John. I was just wondering did you go for the standard width (d) or the wide (ee) in the Glycerin 17 because some runners are saying it runs fairly narrow in the normal width. The reason I ask is because I also bought the 16, and while it is undoubtedly very well made, I found I had consistent problems with foot hold because of the lack of an achilles notch in the heel collar and a fairly rigid heel outsole which when combined with the overall weight of the runner affected it's flexibility. Any feedback would be appreciated.

      @johncarr5846  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Martin, I have the regular D width. Did you go with the D or 2E width on the 16? If you had foot lock problems with the 16 I think the fit might be pretty similar, but I do think the 17 fits a little better in the heel than the previous version.

      @@martinkingston1498 I would say see if you can find a local store to try them on first. Otherwise I think Brooks has a pretty good return policy so you could try the D width first and if it's not wide enough send it back and get the 2E if you like it. Enjoy!

    How do you think these compare to the adrenaline GTS?
    FYI I’d go for the Brooks Cascadia for trail runners.

    • @johncarr5846
      @johncarr5846  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      EzE Eze in my opinion the Adrenaline GTS doesn’t feel as soft as the glycerin. But the adrenaline does have the added guiderail support that the glycerin doesn’t have. If you want cushion and support, check out the transcend from brooks

    Which better and softer and responsive ??? Glycerin 17 or bondi 6 ???

    • @johncarr5846
      @johncarr5846  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion, the Bondi 6 feels softer, but I would say the Glycerin 17 is more responsive.

      Charles Hearp glycerin if you’re looking for more cushion, Rincon if you want lighter weight

      @@johncarr5846 I'll go with the glycerin since I've had shin splints in the past. I have a faster, responsive pair for tempo runs but glycerin's should be good for 8:00 pace and above right?

      @@johncarr5846 I was up in the Sierras, & ordered them on eBay. I had hoped that they would stretch, & that the heel collar would compress, but that never happened. You really should let people know about the sizing. Not many people have access to a decent running shop.✌

    Would this shoe be suitable for an orthotic?

    • @johncarr5846
      @johncarr5846  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Andrew Kinneen hey Andrew, the glycerin should fit an orthotic just fine. If your orthotic is a little thicker, I would suggest the Brooks Dyad possibly.
