I completely feel you on the gripping your partner's arm while watching an intense part of a movie/scene. When I get excited or nervous during a scene, I tend to slap the thigh of my poor girlfriend. Not hard, just in that, "omg omg omg, are you watching this? omg pay attention." She laughs at it and says it's fine. I'm pretty sure she's going to smother me with a pillow one of these days.

My partner and I numbered our moving boxes and made a spreadsheet of what thing were in each box number so we knew exactly what was in each box. Spreadsheets are amazing, it made the whole unpacking ordeal so much easier!
I totally agree about having different standards between work and home. I'm very organised and clean at my office, but a complete disaster at home. The snorty thing with a cold drives me mad. Also, I say "itchy!" as well!!

Hello Jessica and Claudia, I am a new follower and I am loving everything about your channel and you two as peopel!! You are both lovely and refreshing!! I am 17% annoying, also my sister actually did make stickers to go her moving boxes that were color coded and labeled with which rooms they were to go into that saved them a lot of time. They had movers pick up the boxes and then deliver them to the new house. As far as I know it worked out well! I would label the rooms at the new house or put up cut out arrows up on the wall to show which directions leads to which room to just add the extra help!
When we moved around the world we used crown relocation and they labelled everything and packed everything exactly how you want it label how you want then unpack it into the right place on the other end! They were international movers but possibly do stuff in the country too!
When I am with friends, I have the urge to react to the movie and make jokes or I'll have interrogations about plot points or things happening but since I know it can be annoying for some people I do my very best to limit those comments. x)

I wouldn't call it annoying though since it's hard for you to be aware of it so it's understandable. Also, it's much more lovely to hear you laugh so I'd rather deal with it then not hear you laugh
"I just feel like I don't want to make a fuss" OMG SAME! I'm a big believer in "good customer service requires good customer behavior". So when I'm at a restaurant, I'm basically... like... "on my best behavior", which will sometimes mean just eating the mistake as if it was what I wanted. Unless the mistake is particularly egregious (I wanted a beef burger and got a turkey burger), then I'll ask for a correction, but I'll be super apologetic about it and likely end up increasing the server's tip for the inconvenience to them having to go back and get my correct food (I'm in the US where tipping is compulsory).

welcome to the moving club, we're moving right now too. I feel you will appriceate the struggle of trying to pack boxes light enough for us to move, as i'm currently pregnet i'm not allowed to lift anything wieghing more the 20 pounds. But the house will be worth it when we get there.
I am in the same situation with moving , it is annoying. Side note - I do like your videos and I think you are an inspiration, thank you and I hope you continue to make more videos.
A couple of tips. Get paper in many different colours. Assign colours to each room. On the top and side of each box, put an A5 sheet of appropriately coloured paper, labelled with the name of the room. On the top of each box, and inside the box (right at the top) have a list of contents. Think about the things you won't need for 6 months (or more) and pack them NOW. As you pack declutter ( and as you unpack in your new home, declutter). Pack a box each day. Pack books in small boxes, otherwise you will need a weightlifter to move them. On the day of the move, make your bed your priority - get it made and ready to use straight away. Don't allow anyone to put things on the bed. Then, no matter what time either of you need to collapse there will be a safe, inviting place to get horizontal. Also have a box with drinks and snacks etc. You will need them. And either order some food to be delivered, or have a friend bring some round at dinner time.
They've now changed the road rules in Australia and it's illegal to honk the car horn if the light is green and the car in front of you hasn't moved yet.
My sister and I had to make a rule for when we are watching anything together at one of our homes. We hit the pause button, say what we have to say whether that's asking questions or going on a rant, then unpause and continue with the show. I got 33%.
There's a video from another TH-cam couple (Rachel and Jun) who hired a Japanese moving company and I would hire that company. and next time i have to move I want to hire a company but all of your issues are my issues. Also. Old supervisor at my last job- Mr. Kitchen- hired a company to move cross country. And when the family arrived at their new home, they found all the boxes in the kitchen, nothing in the bedroom, office, etc. Because all the boxes were labeled with. Kitchen... Because that was the family name. (The boxes were otherwise labeled properly, but the company didn't look that far)
Maybe the things that are most annoying are actually quite endearing and what we miss the most when away from the people we love. Claudia def is NOT overly annoying, she’s wonderful.

Why is there such a long period of closing on the house? In the US, it's usually no more than a few weeks outside of strange circumstances. I've heard of a house closing in less than a week in many places in the US. I think it sucks that you can't choose your closing date to get the keys and all of that in the UK.

Why is there such a long period of closing on the house? In the US, it's usually no more than a few weeks outside of strange circumstances. I've heard of a house closing in less than a week in many places in the US. I think it sucks that you can't choose your closing date to get the keys and all of that in the UK.
