Yes it is Cesar that hit the high - he wanted to try and Eli said go for it 😉. This one is part of their Post-Apocalyptic trio. I think Seven Nation Army is the last one in the trio. Thanks for the review. I think I need to subscribe! 🌹🕊
Omar is also in their version in "Dragonborn Comes" if you want to hear more of him. The costumes are more fantastical in that one again. Or a more recent "Whiskey in the jar". Both have Geoff singing proper words ;)
You are 2/3 into the apocalypse!! One more to go...Seven Nation Army is next!! Features Anthony Gargiula (pronounced Gar Jew La). Great reaction!! Looking forward to the next!
Love that Layne swallowed a helicopter so we could hear that sound. This is Eli's old high school abandoned now. Like your description of Eli. The 3rd apocalyptic video of the trilogy is Seven Nation Army. In the Air Tonight is really good too.
This was the former High school of Elli, the other for 7 Nation Army was a former Mall, where they recorded their song. They try to get the OK from the Owners. You be safe. I know that from their BTS videos on Patreon. Elmar from Germany
As mentioned above/below Omar and Cesar are best friends. Omar has been there for Cesar encouraging him. So when Cesar decided to try for the high note he had the support of everyone. And as long as he doesn't know (or see on sheet music) what note he hit, he's good. Thanks for your reaction and I'm sorry about your dog. I feel your pain. I think that's one of the fastest ways of getting an owner out of bed, only thing faster is when they puck in you're bed. 😣😖
Omar had been featured several times and is with them for the one coming in a few days. They did a live show last November with the band Chicago. Omar was featured in that. Fun fact, Eli's baby was due in November as well. The concerts were in Atlantic City, they live in Orlando. J None learned all of Eli's part and was there, prepared to sing in his place if the baby came, but he's didn't. They arranged four pieces to sing with Chicago. Eventually the concert will be available streaming.
The song that sent me down the Voiceplay rabbit hole was the Oogie Boogie song. Shows Geoffs range really well, but there are so many to choose from. Don't miss Geoff's channel😀
It's so nice to see you get more and more interested in VoicePlay. There is no effort to like them. God reaction! If you all ready reacted to Warriors and Dream on, you can finish the "trilogi" with Seven nation army. They are connected. You asked about Earl Elkins Jr. (tenor 1). He was a member from 1997 to 2020 and him, Layne and Geoff was three of the originals in 4 2 five, later VoicePlay.
Omar and Cesar are actually roommates and best buds. I wonder if Omar is how Voiceplay found Cesar? If so, we can never thank Omar enough! And he's such an amazing singer. Omar totally should have won "The Voice." You should check out "The Dragonborn Comes," Omar is just fantastic in that Skyrim song!
But Omar was in "Superstition" before Cesar came along, wasn't he? Also, aww, I bet Omar's baby has a cry as beautiful as Omar's voice. Like Asher and Eli.
I'd always assumed that they got to know Omar through EJ, athough I couldn't say how I came to that conclusion. Lately, I've started thinking that the Orlando singing/performing scene is probably very well known to all the VoicePlay members, as they seem to have connections to so many other local vocalists.
@@DravenGal : Hard to say how and who met who first as it is a very tight community in Orlando going way back. Omar's baby son, Luca, has been recently diagnosed as being deaf/hearing impaired (condition that does run in his family). Omar talked about it a little in an interview with our local news during holiday time but it is still early for complete diagnosis and testing.
Yeah Layne is the tallest member. About 6,1 i think. And yeah Eli is like a vocal chameleon. He can do whatever is needed for the track, whether that be high belting (hoist the colours), smooth baritone (little mermaid medley) and even fills in on some bass parts when they perform live and Geoff is singing lead.
Everywhere they do a video they rent. Seven Nation Army was done in an abandoned department store in the Oviedo Mall in Orlando Florida. This is in an abandoned high school in Leesburg Florida near where Eli grew up. Both are from their post apocalyptic series. Warriors was the first. It is also where Layne got his nickname VioLayne. Layne is 6''1"... Geoff is 5'11½"... The other three are 5'5". Eli was in several different rock bands at Universal Studios Orlando before joining Voiceplay. Their new video comes out this Friday the 16th. It is out of this world fantastic.
I adore your description of Eli. I hadn't considered it, but you're dead on. This was the school that Eli attended as a child and, yes, they did have permission from the current owner to film there. BTW, Ren is dropping a new track Thursday.
Lol, we have different idea of tall. Geoff is 5’11”, Layne is either 6’ or 6’1”. Eli is around my height, he’s like 5’7” or 5’8”. I had a grandmother who was 6’3”, my Dad was 6’5” so…..🤷♀️
I really enjoyed your reaction- thanks! Cesar and Omar have been best friends for a long time. We love Omar and think of him as extended family like J None and a few other frequent collaborators.
please, please, please wear headphones for acapella as you're missing out. Loved your reaction, sorry about the dog... Next up is Seven Nation Army, then try Tennessee Whiskey.
OK, so now I know you’re in the same time zone as me. And don’t we love waking to the sound of our pets giving us “presents.” Ugh. Just woke up. Typing as I listen so this will be random. This was reportedly shot in Eli’s old high school. Any time they shoot in sites where there’s graffiti, they go around with duct tape to cover up anything that is objectionable, so the bit you couldn’t read might have been icky. What it Do Dave said Layne sounds like a velociraptor. LOL. Omar was on The Voice recently. Made it to the finale episode. Yeah, well, they do record the vocals in their home studios, and then lip sync (or more likely sing along) on location. Word is Eli has even filled in the bass line for Geoff when they’re on tour and he has a solo. He really does hold things together-and his riffs are wonderful. All the guys in the middle could go for that high note. Omar was probably intended to do it but Cesar wanted to go for it. Cesar recently hit a D6 in The Lion Sleeps Tonight. I’m still wrapping my head around it. This is supposedly the sequel to Warriors. Seven Nation Army is also (I think) a sequel. I get all the stuff that is supposedly and reportedly so from people who are on their Patreon. I’m buried in vet bills (over $500 a month) so anything extra is out right now or I’d be doing Patreon as well. Anyway, great reaction!
"Layne doing Layne things and Geoff doing Geoff things"....yep....that says it! Isn't Omar amazing? Check out "The Dragonborn Comes" ...he is amazing in that one! And yep that is Cesar hitting the high note....and Eli being the rock god he is!
Omar has been on your Your The Voice in the USA also another person VoicePlay has sang with has been on the show too his name is Deejay Young the song that first Ft Cesar before became a member was Called Butter which is a BTS song Deejay is also in this song. The other one Deejay is in is Man In The Mirror. Also in another song they have Omar brother EJ does a song too.
Voice Play just released their newest solo cover... Sleeping In The Cold Below. It is their best ever & will blow you away. Please do a reaction to it.
Sorry I´m late to the party. Have some catching-up to do. I love your reaction/analysis videos. But is your dog okay? It is important to hold on to dreams. So “Dream on”! One of my favorites. Thanks for sharing.🌻
The funny thing is that in the videos we usually get to see exactly what the guys are doing, but this time Layne said making that sound looked so stupid that he did something else for the camera. 😄
If you want a good Eli feature try their version of Kiss. Eli sometimes called the rock god is great i. everything he also often does the lighting and occasionally arranges a track. They record their singing parts beforehand so the acoustics don’t actually matter. This is an abandoned school in the town Eli used to live in. Some people have said it’s his old school I’m not 100% sure about that. If you want to know more about the guys Huldra Draco has done videos on all of them including heights ages etc. ❤
Eli has a 4 octave range but mainly tenor. Geoff has 5 octave range, Layne has 5 octave range also but sing baritone. Cesar has 3 octave range but mostly sings baritone and tenor.
"Eli, the small glue bottle..." - I like that picture. Very sweet glue... 😂🎉❤
Yes it is Cesar that hit the high - he wanted to try and Eli said go for it 😉. This one is part of their Post-Apocalyptic trio. I think Seven Nation Army is the last one in the trio.

Omar has been in quite a few of their songs, but the best---The Dragonborn Comes from Skyrim. Whiskey in the Jar is awesome, too.

The Warriors song and this is part of an end of the world.

He also performed with them in Nov. when they sang with Chicago in Atlantic City. Some of those songs are on youtube.

Do you mean a post-apocaliptic survivor tem?
If your dog was drinking like the other 21 year olds you would still be cleaning up vomit
Maybe it's just me, but while the Voice Play volume was fine, your volume seemed way quieter than usual.
