      Nick just subscribed
      Salute your no bullshit veiw.
      My opinion is honest.
      When I'm out I'm always on amber awareness observation.
      Watching this I personally would have been triggered by the guys twitching nervously with that mag..
      Easy to say I know .
      But it caught my eye first tlme I watched..
      I have been around but don't want to go into detail..
      I agree 100% with your vid here. Look fwd to more.

    The guy by the vending machine was probably just frozen. Not everyone has it in them to step in for things like this. Not his fault at all nor did he have to do anything. It was just very unfortunate for the other guy getting stabbed to hell. Hope he survived

    • @kuessebrama
      @kuessebrama ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah no one knows who he reacts in such a situation. No training in the world can really prepare you for such an extrem situation. Adrenaline and fear can do strange things to you and freeze is a very common reaction. I don't know if i would have done something different, i mean you have to process the situation and this can easily overwhelm you.

  • @abieb8082
    @abieb8082 2 ปีที่แล้ว +25

    That’s just terrifying, I would like to think if I was in the position of the man at the machine that I would do something, but I think it would take a moment or two to actually process what was happening before I stepped in, it’s just so fast and random.

    People here's what you must remember.
    1st. Learn to overcome fear (learn to move in)
    2nd. strike the eggs
    3rd. strike the chin
    4th. be very fast and accurate.

    I feel soooo sorry for that victim. The bastard assailant was cold and relentless, heart of a killer.
    After watching so many martial arts and self defense videos and reading all the negative comments and such, I can definitely conclude one thing.
    To ensure a better chance of survival, I’d rather be trained in at least something. Coz it’s better than nothing! The difference between someone who’s trained vs someone with no training whatsoever lies in the mental and physical conditioning. Pure fear will cause one to freeze and just try to back off without any way of protection. I guess that’s why many striking martial arts trains one to override fear using anger and counter aggression .
    Just watch all the other real life vids.

    No disrespect here but you are TRAINED. The guy in the video was caught completely unawares, he was probably in shock. Your thinking about all these things because you are trained. Normal people don’t think “oh the dude next to me might have a knife” or think “oh I need to parry, strike after getting stabbed in the neck” nor would they have the training to do it.

    I have been looking at tons of videos on knife defense to learn. This is the most realistic and useful video I’ve seen. Why? Because it’s the first one that talks about the attackers leveraging arm and to close the gap and control the knife.

    Situational awareness or presense of mind, quick physical reactions or reflexes, mental strength or toughness, composure or self-confidence, resourcefulness, the instinct or the will to fight back and defend yourself, knowing when to fight back or when to just run away as fast as you can, avoiding people places and situations that potentially lead to heated altercations or violent encounters, and your martial arts/fighting/self-defense skills and techniques (if you have any or some) which you have spent long periods of time practicing and training, can drastically increase your chances of successfully defending yourself in and surviving violent self-defense encounters. Speaking based on my personal experience as a self-defense practitioner.

    So hard to do something in this situation, there was not anything that can make you feel in danger and it was so fast, the agressor is specially sadic. 1 thing that I always do is if I have to take money from the bank, I do it in the day, in a place that i know that is a lot of people walking and even there I always take a look behind me. I learned something from this video, try to take money from the bank as less as possible and try to not have anyone strange around me when I do that. I hope the victim is ok and the agressor in jail for the rest of his life.

  • @rsine100

    First of all, people should avoid using those ATM machines whenever possible. Not only are they magnets for muggers, but the banks charge ridiculous transaction fees. You're basically flushing money down the toilet whenever you use one. Second, if you do need to use one to withdraw cash, at the very least, wait until there's no one around. Don't go when you see a group of people hanging around.

    When you get stabbed is it possible to fight back? is the pain so hard that you can't defend yourself after that or does adrenaline makes you forget that pain and still give you ability to defend yourself?

    Are you trying to tell me that knife attackers can actually move and don't have a paralyzed arm? But that's not what my super duper master sensei told me in my dojo!

  • @ramilazimov3576
    @ramilazimov3576 ปีที่แล้ว

    No need to trap just hit the eyes, throat, or balls(if it's a man) when you get the chance while parrying. One good hit to the eyes, throat or balls is enough to slow down or stop attackers then you can finish him with whatever is possible. My two friends were attacked by knife different times. Both survived because of counterstrikes. One was a special forces sergeant. He survived from few knife attack fights at different times. The other guy was 2nd black belt kyokshin karate instructor.

    I don't believe that these defenses will work after you've been Stabbed the first 2 times. The pain and shock of being stabbed is the primary factor left out of these defenses.

    It depends on the damages done from the first stabbed which was inevitable or even the second one. …also some people brain might freeze at that point and won’t even know what to do when they are confronted with a sudden action they didn’t expect.

    Just watched this again in slow mo..
    Easy to say i know but
    If it saves someones life...gotta be a positive.
    Apply the arms length
    Rule or in the uk 3ft...1m..personal space.
    The attacker puts his left arm / hand. Out & touches the guy..
    Just before the stab.
    If a stranger closes that space or gap and makes physical contact how ever small....
    Take them off the planet
    Worry about the police
    After...
    Judged by 12
    Is better than carried by 6.....

    I think concentrating on protecting from neck attacks, rather than the typical torso strikes might help more. It's more unconventional and requires a different approach.

  • @packrcch
    @packrcch ปีที่แล้ว

    the attacker did not seem concerned about the second larger person at the atm...and he did not attack the second person (who clearly saw his face and is a witness to his crime).
    he took money at the end, but this was primarily a attack on the first guy for some reason.
    the attacker held the first guy who was trying to run and turned his back on the second one at the atm.
    no concern about the atm video camera.
    what's going on here?....

    Base of all - psychological training.
    If you failed in it - all other skills is waste.
    There is a lot of stories, when xxx black belts was stubbed.
    So defense built on: psychological training. Is first. Second is Krav Maga like skills.

    In situations like that even though I am against legalising fire arms , it’s the only thing that can save you … if you are trained to draw them instinctively…. I know it’s hypocritical of me saying it but I cannot see anything else that could saved him.

    Thanks for the vid, but also like ppl are saying... Your lack of sympathy was a bit much bro.
    Especially when saying he could have got his hands up... No, no he definitely could not. No one could defend themselves after that first knife connection. It was way too deep.
    Also the bystander didnt seem to have anywhere to move and probably made the right choice by not moving without thinking
