  • The Chairman is the chief executive officer of a board of directors, and he or she is elected by the shareholders. The Chairman's primary role is to safeguard the interests of shareholders and guarantee that the company is operated profitably and consistently.
    In terms of distinctions, the Managing Director (MD) is a member of both the Board of Directors and the company's management.
    The CEO is at the highest position in a company. The overall performance of a firm is the responsibility of the CEO. They are responsible for setting the company's long-term objectives and strategy.

    You mixed up the MD and CEO roles. CEO is above MD.
