I look forward to seeing a live performance of this, because it seems like a songs that would sound much fuller in front of an audience.

For an entertainment company, Hyunbin would probably still be unperfect for debut, since he still lacks in some areas (e.g. dance). Other don't get to debut for years because they aren't pretty or handsome enough [usually being able to debut late because they are really good singers or rappers, and they are needed for a new group (ofc this isn't everyone's case, I'm just going to the extremes)], or because their abilities have no color of themselves or they show no feelings while singing or smth, or also because they excel at something but lack in other areas, sometimes even because they don't match the criteria of the company they are working for, or because the new trainees are really good looking and probably are amazing in other areas. There are many reasons why idols don't debut soon, but usually this are the ones (based on stories of other idols who have had a really long trainee life and of programs where ent. companies' directors explain things about some of their idols). Hope this bible(lol) helps you understand a bit of why trainee life is long:)
