Yes, you should be smiling a big smile while looking over at that pianist over there on stage with you. You are all so talented and complement each over so nicely. To me, a sign of a world class band is when each band member can look at each of their bandmates in complete awe while you're performing and think, "damm", that was unbelievable. You all have that:)
I love when we band members can have a conversation onstage, saying volumes and getting our points across with just a look...when we communicate telepathically like this on stage, it's gonna be a special gig!
The last time I heard what I am guessing is a local band this good is when I followed Bruce Hornsby at local gigs in Virginia in 1978 before he became famous. You guys are off the charts good!!!
Thanks for the tip, Lee! This woman is awesome. Not only she plays supremely but she also is a killer singer, all that at the same time. Some people know how hard it is. It is almost like Mark King. And the rest of the band is so cool!
As a bassist myself, I DO know. I can play guitar and sing just fine, but not so much with bass...I think it's the tight timing, and the contrapuntal nature of the beast. And Mark King is the reason I play bass today- heard him in 83 when I was a keyboard player and it stopped me dead in my tracks! I remember telling my drummer "I wanna do THAT!" and it was game on. Been playin bass ever since! Rebecca, you have such a great groove, and to sing on top of that, what a killer talent you are! You're one of my favorite bassists out there, keep on funkin'!
