Mel, the older boxes I picked up say Limerick, PA on them. That is where manufacturing moved in 1997. After Altria purchased Middleton, manufacturing was in Richmond, VA and King of Prussia, PA. The King of Prussia site was not far from Limerick. The box you have was likely made in Richmond, VA.
Hey Mel! I picked up a Bud of Steel early in my pipe journey and LOVE it. Great for trying blend after blend with just a rinse in between. Is a cool smoker for sure.

I am looking for something other than what i normally see or have had and seeing your cool yet goofy looking pipe made me think of sharing this with u. Any way its been quite a long while sense i been into the hobby and i think its time i truly do come back yet again but lifes made it imposable. This pipe would need an upgrade for 9 mm filters. I don't get it why they didn't do,l for such line of production. But it looks nice , bit like the pipe from the post appointment robot shop seller !
