I don’t know about budget. H3t alpha 09/10 are still quite expensive. 25k-30k from what I’ve seen, for the lower mileage ones >70k miles. Maybe for a regular h3, but definitely not a h3t alpha. I wanted one of these, but cuss they were so expensive, I just bit the bullet and bought a gladiator rubicon, or l else I would’ve bought one of these.
I was still in high school back in 2004, I and my friends usually stay in the library and endlessly build Hummer h1s on gm site. You used to need to scroll horizontally to go through all brands owned by GM. Miss those days.
Jeep built a truk like the H3T 10 years later! And galdiator bed is smaller than H3T I’m in Italy and bought my H3T ALPHA last year with only 30000 km! I love it!
I love these Hummer H3 Alpha suv's and trucks, the best of both off road prowess and daily livability. Stay safe and thank you for your continued sacrifices, Semper Fi my friend!!
I saw one of these bad boys in the wild a few weeks ago, and I didn't believe it came from the factory. I was looking so hard my neck and eyes were hurting, I never know they had a hummer truck.
Great video Andre. It’s nice to see the H3T get it’s due! As an owner of a 2009 H3X Alpha with the Championship and Adventure package I have to tell you it’s like the original ad, “Like Nothing Else”! Every option with only 53K miles. From it’s factory 18” Rims to it’s solid steel brush guard, monsoon stereo to its front and rear lockers it’s a keeper! Look forward to your comparison! Thx Jay and God bless America!
Squanch Wanch the tundra is a full size truck that competes with Silverado/ sierra, F150,ram 1500 and Titan..... the toyota tacoma is a midsize truck that competes with the dakota, Colorado/canyon, ranger and now the jeep gladiator
I just bought a 2009 alpha h3t with the adventure pack, white , love it , I sold my 2004 Jeep TJ that I had done almost every mod available, its was a 5spd and after getting my knees replaced twice already I was hating driving my Jeep uptown to get coffee or whatever , had 35” tires ARB twin lockers etc. And when I seen this h3t come up for sale I knew it would be perfect for me , I don’t miss my TJ at all.
A awesome guy that works at our local UPS has one, not as modified as this one, but the guy loves it and it really is a cool ride, not sure if he has a V8 in his, I always brag on when I’m at UPS. To the man in the video, Thank You Sir for your Service to our Great Country!!!🇺🇸 Love this rig!!!
Wow I didnt even know they made this truck. I must have slept through those two years. He did a wonderful job with the upgrades and add ons. That's one beautiful truck.
Small trucks with V8’s are awesome! I have an 98 explorer with a 5.0, love it. Not a pickup, but still built off the ranger platform. If only ford had put it in the rangers too.
I'm not a GM guy by any means but my soon to be ex wife and I were on vacation to Gatlinburg, TN a few years ago when we stumbled across a black on black 2009 H3T Alpha at a Cadillac dealership that was also right next to a abandoned Hummer dealership that still had their test course up. The salesman not only let us test drive it but also take it through the course and...to be honest I've driven Jeep's (had an 04 Grand Cherokee Overland Limited with the amazing Quadradrive system), Ford's, Dodges and various Toyotas and that H3T gave me confidence like no other vehicle does on a trail. Once I can find one after my divorce concludes in a month that's under 21k, I will be trading in because these are just amazing trucks.
My uncle had one(v5) it drove in south carolina moved to Germany and drove all over Europe in it. They he went to alaska(we recovered many cars and other 4wd trucks with it.) After that it tackled upstate NY. It was the most fun truck, it could go anywhere and sold for 14k with 115thousand miles. 🤯🤯🤯 Definitely some nostalgia with this video. I lived in Mexico and used to see many soccer moms driving these alpha 3ts 😭😢
I remember drooling over these back in 2009. Were very expensive. But much better than the 6.0 gas hog H2 pavement princesses everyone hated back in the day
I remember going to New Orleans and seeing one of these at Mardi Gras. I definitely gave it a double or triple look because I have NEVER seen one in person.
A rare piece to say the least. The problem is the platform has no aftermarket support and zero factory parts exists. You’d be hard pressed to find a body panel much less a door handle when it fall off and it will, since it’s a quality GM product. The upside is it’s downside, it’s a GM. AAM axels, LS based engine, 4L60 trans and the NV transfer case. All parts easily found in any half ton Silverado or SUV of he day. Cool truck for sure.
I drove a regular H3x for about a year and it is probably one of the quietest and best turning ratio vehicles I've ever driven. MPG from the 5 cylinder was disappointing though.
Wow thats nice. I hope he has allot of fun with it. 😅 Who cares if the Gladiator is better or not. He found his unicorn and hes owning it like a boss!🙂 If it were mine (just to fit my personal interests) Id add some solar (those max traxs can be stacked) a fridge, some place to put some fishing gear, water and cooking gear. Then as long as theres room for my outfitter cot, matress and tent combo from Teton I'd be good to go for a week straight in it.
@@Michael_ryan91 wrong, that hummer has features that Jeep still doesn't have and it came out 10 years ago. The hummer interior is a lot nicer than a cheap Jeep and the Hummer has a v8, not a little v6. Give the hummer an 8speed transmission and it runs circles around the Gladiator.
I always loved these, I feel like they get way too much hate even with just the i5 in them. They're very capable trucks, and the size is great on trails.
I really, really wanted one of these when replacing my terrain. But after having my 19 canyon for over a year now, I don't have as much of a want for one anymore. I'm getting almost the same power, better mpg, more towing and improved technology.
Brought back some memories, I had the same one orange alpha with the slant back snugtop had to get ride of it because you cant fit 3 kids for a daily driver. Miss it.
I have the 2010 h3t alpha with the optional backpacks, hummer bed tool box. and snugtop. I love mine as well. funny thing is, mine is the exact same color......
I had a 2008 Dodge Dakota with the 4.7 V8. It was pretty heavy for a midsize truck, so that engine didn't have the zip I would have hoped for. Terrible gas mileage too, I lived in Birmingham for three years and got around 12 mpg on all of those hills, and even extended highway driving it would never get above 19 mpg. Most full size trucks get better mileage now.
I looked at buying one of these a couple of years ago. It was not too hard to find an Alpha. I was surprised., But I've owned a couple of other orphans vehicles inthepast and it's all fun and games until something breaks... then you're hunting for some rare, expensive part.
I love hummers. I didn't have an alpha. I had an old h1 that was just broken in so many ways. Then I got an h3 Manual at 17. That got wrecked this year. If this channel keeps reviewing hummers I may sell my Jeep for another
Honestly a midsize V8 truck would be so fun but these companies dont like it when we have fun, because fun also means lawsuits from us having "too much" fun lmao
Speaking of V8 midsizes and rumors of it coming back (probably without the V8 sadly) I'd love to see one of these style videos on a dakota with a 360 or 4.7. I know there was an old video taking a 3ed gen up gold mine but it wasn't very in depth. Maybe an older/used mid-size shootout between the Kota, an s10, Colorado, old ranger, and old tacomas. Power trains, interior/cargo capacity, handling/off roading and price.
Man, that is a nice truck! Fully loaded and tastefully modded. The only thing I'd change is to black out all the chrome (including the wheels) as it looks a little too "fancy" for me. Oh, and maybe add a supercharger! :)
Amazing Hummer Jay, thank you for your service 🇺🇸
These older hummers make a great budget build in today’s world! The early 2000’s made some bullet proof trucks!!
I don't know about them being bulletproof... Engines are nice, but I've seen a few blown differentials on "trails" haha.
Not exactly. I had a 2009. Spent 3K on it in 3 years, but I still regret letting it go
I had a 2009 H3 Adventure with front and rear lockers. How I miss that truck

You looked stoked! And we all know they can wheel pretty hard.
Dude are you still at Carson? I had a h3 alpha the suv and stayed going off roding off of old stage, behind the Broadmoor. Sick alpha
Yup, im here for another year
Awesome truck! In good taste too!
Sweet ride Jay. Looking forward to seeing go up against a gladiator.

I got that billet badge made after one of my tattoos
As an h3 alpha owner this brought me so much joy 😊😊😊😊

The smile on Andres face when he drives it.... That is why we want a V8 bronco...
I bet every engine option bronco will be faster than this and the 3.5 will be able tow more 🤷♂️
David Gagne 2-3k would make that 5.3 destroy the Broncos 2.7 all day long
Looking forward to the off-road challenge with the Gladiator. Make it happen.
100%!

So that means 3 Midsize Trucks had V8 options at some point:
1. Dodge Dakota
2. Chevy Colorado
3. H3T
And Canyon if you count that differently (H3, Colorado, and Canyon are all the same platform)
1st generation toyota tundra
