This car is probably my favourite Peugeot out at the moment. It really looks the part inside and out. Quite cheap in today’s price range. Thou I remember back in the day my dad old 94 540i touring was about the same. Id love to have a look at once if these
@@podge5555 this is the case with a lot of people, it’ll be a while until the kind of ranges you require and speed of charge aren’t the higher end of the price bracket.
Great review guys. lovely looking cars these 508's. That a 1.5 130 diesel can haul a big car like that around, still drive OK and return 50mpg reminds me that it's such a shame that diesel has been wrongly demonized. Other thoughts: 1. Those wheels are insane 2. £38k is about £10k too much
My 2018 67-plate 308 frustrates me because I can not listen to radio etc. with engine off. ECO mode turns off the electric after relatively few minutes. Is this 508 any better? I really don't like sitting in the car having my snack or whatever with the engine running.
@@PlanetautoUK I haven't but my girlfriend and I have been looking at SUVs but the roads are saturated with them.As far as estates go and owning 2 Volvo's over the course of 10 years I like the V60/V90, Passat R Line, Superb Sport and the GT line 508SW.I should consider it but it's the badge that does put me off.

We’d have to agree with this looking extremely good, it’s also very premium and deserving of its price tag. *ben

@@PlanetautoUK haha how many times a day do you see this bots Ben lol
Oh wow, did you hide their post or did TH-cam actually delete it automatically lol
I've previously had the 406sw and two 407sw .. the 508sw seems more of a Shooting Brake in design
Yes, spot on - it looks sooo good DJ
Does the Sport mode make much of a difference to the performance of that 1.5 engine?
It adds a punchy element, a bit more responsive, but not the way the 225bhp one does, thank you Podge
@@PlanetautoUK thanks for that guys. Unfortunately the other Diesel engines in the 508 are available here anymore
You’re welcome, No, pretty much every manufacturer has dropped diesel or is doing over the next year, bar pickups and SUVs -
@@PlanetautoUK unfortunately I still need a diesel as I cover about 1000kms a week so electric is not practical for me atm

Thank you, congrats on a fine French car, this should certainly appeal to lots *ben

Thank you, yes diesel is a taboo word and It’s quite crazy how far wheels have come on cars straight from the manufacturer and Infotainment too. *ben
@@PlanetautoUK indeed, these wheels have come all the way from France 😂
Ian Harding very true that and the C5

I’ve noticed this with a few manufacturers nowadays, I think they’re all very similar Brendan, thank you - but I will check, this was a while ago
@@PlanetautoUK I will be interested to know, thanks.
One of the best looking estate cars and I really like my estate cars, but a Peugeot badge 🙄 🙄🙄
Have you driven it yet?

justin small reserve judgement till you drive it... SUVs certainly are the weapon of choice and now hybrid or ev ones.
Only idiots care about badges.
