- Day 1 purchase for me! Here is a video of me going through the Rayman Legends demo that just released on the Wii U eshop. This game plays great with the Wii U gamepad and looks gorgeous. I would really recommend watching this video in 1080p. Also the last level shown in this video is amazing.

I believe it is. The game looks smoother than what it looks like in this video. Since youtube videos only display at 30fps.

I read a review with one of the developers and you're right, the game was basically done. I agree that it is cool to release it on multi-platforms but the Wii U version should not have been delayed until September. That is really not cool. Everyone was waiting for "Rayman Legends" and "Pikmin 3.

looks gorgeous, gaming should go back to the platforming days. with the graphics these days it would be soo amazing. to see crash bandicoot, spyro, banjo kazooie, sonic experience these graphics.
It sucks it got delayed, but it's still a day one buy for me.
They announced today that they created 30 extra levels and some new bosses. It's not the Creators of the games fault it was delayed, they were upset too, at least they're still adding content to the game.
Rayman did speak in all versions of Rayman 2. Granted, in most versions he spoke utter gibberish, but he did speak. The PS2 version translated that gibberish into an intelligible language.
the Toad Story level is soo good... so relaxing that it reminds me of Rayman 2 and Rayman 1... they really came back to the series :)

I was controlling Murray but if you turn on another controller, you can play as the other character. In the demo, you play up to 5 players, with one of the players controlling Murray on the gamepad.
Wow this game looks gorgeous running on the Wii U they really updated this game engine to an EPIC level

Ubisoft basically screwed Wii U owners by delaying this incredible game until September so it can now me a multi-platform release; to be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well. A former Wii U exclusive says goodbye to a 1st quarter release and hello to a multi-platform September release. Wow.
And did I mention, THAT SOUNDTRACK!

At that point you control Murphy. But if you have two controllers, the second player can controller the other character. I'm not sure if it will be like this in the final game.

I love the idea of the music levels. I loved the chest levels but it was annoying cus sometimes I would slow down for like a second and then realized like ten 10 seconds later that there I was gonna die cus I slowed down. The music is helpful cus you will know that your going to slow. Plus it just gets you in the groove better

If it's one player, you can only control Murphy (although the AI is VERY well done and not stupid at all), but with two, or more players you can control both.
watching one person beat castle rock is like watching anyone beat it.
After playing this, I will be doing a playthrough once I get the game.

Yes, but if you count all of the games in which Rayman speaks gibberish, then Rayman talks in every game he is in.

Because it's now multiplatform and Microsoft insist that Rayman Legends be released on the same day on all platforms. Microsoft/Xbox 360 are to blame for the delay in the release of the Wii U version.
Nintendo should have demanded the same release date for "Aliens: Colonial Marines" in return.
I really hope that this also comes for the PC like Rayman Origins.

Well I used a HD PVR 2 to record the footage. Then I edited the video in Adobe Premier.
Just to be make sure... up to 5:03, do you control both characters or do you control only Murphy, while the AI do the platforming? :\
I see that they put some use for the WiiU controller. I wonder how this is going to work out on other platforms.

I just got my Wii U, and bought Mario Bros. U along with it, i almost regret not buying this :P Although i should not say that, it's gamer blasphemy and i'll go to gamer hell. Mario is always a first when you buy a new nintendo console. This looks like a blast tho and will be an orgasmic second edition to my coming collection.

Why though, its not even exclusive to Wii U. Nintendo is just advertising it like that, by making sure all the footage comes from the Wii U version.

I'm on the fence of buying this game because of the Murphy part of the game.. I really don't get why Ubisoft don't make it optional for the player to control Murphy! Do you know if its the same on the PS3 version? It Murphy is controlled by AI in the PS3 version, I'm gonna buy it then.
