Thks for watching, when I fish on the rocks I look for them..and when I find them I take a couple and use em 3 to 6 casts..if they dont bite I move or switch over to small game and pop for big game..the seaweed has to where the fish are..they just got to be feeding...actually any seaweed if you find em..just got to wrap it around the hook.. good luck..
On this fish..when I brought the leader back the leader(3-4ft 8# mono) was intact except for the hook leader that is 20# braid and it broke..the reason why it broke was because the fish actually swallowed the hook and cut by its teeth..

Need to let the current take it for the most part..just need to crank down to the weight..stop..lift the rod slowly up to 12 o'clock crank down while dropping the rod to the Weight as the video...stop n repeat the process..if it snags loosen the line and only lift when the surge goes back..sometimes it comes out..if not leave it there about a minute or so..sometimes they will bite as it's sitting on the bottom..good luck..

Using 1/2oz weight..too heavy.. it will snag...bring it in with the waves or the surge..crank down bring the tip down to the weight... stop cranking ..bring the rod up to 12 oclock..dragging the weight ..stop....crank down to the weight and repeat...good luck..
You can also place the stalk of the sea weed in the small hole on the hook and use a strip of lead to hold more sea weed about an inch above the hook its a little more efficient.

I always went to deeper water like coral overhangs I am going try shallow water close to limu kala around... Mahalo for giving us the technique.

Can you please do a closeup of how the hook is placed into the seaweed. Is it placed into the stem? Or is it in the leaves? Thanks
its on the stem near thetip.m8f the stem 8s too small or too narrow put em on the leaves..they can see it..very clever fish
