Hello hi I'm kopibin guy🙋🏻♂️ Thank you for buying my coffee. Now I have changed the new product from coffee to matcha latte. You should come to Malaysia again to try my new product which is matcha latte. I hope you enjoy being in Malaysia, especially in Besut, Terengganu.🤗
I didn't like to go to pasar malam,, just want to buy 10 ringgit item end up buying 60/70 ringgit items,,,, Eyes and stomach can get crazy idea at pasar Malam,,, 😊😊😊😊😊😊 Stay safe and stay happy 🎉🎉🎉🎉
that was the fresh or young ginger i think.the other one is a little bit dry or older ginger..if not ginger maybe lengkuas or galangal which look quite similar to ginger but have different smell..
Hi guys,👋👋FYI, minute 54.57......it's called "Young ginger" or "mango ginger" .......gives a hint of sweetness when cooked in dishes. Usually, julienned & drizzled all over steamed seafood esp on white pomfret fish🐟 / white meat🐓( steamed ginger chicken dish).....tastes awesome when dipped in green scallion young ginger sauce .......something you should order & try it out if you dine in a seafood restaurant when visiting Penang 😋😉
BINJAI fruits if u eat just like that ..its so so super sour .. people in Malaysia specially village people .. makes SAMBAL BELACAN .. ..with this fruit.. chili paste with belacan ( shrimp paste ) n put some Binjai in it - SAMBAL BINJAI . If its not Binjai season ..they use mango .. The taste like ..sweet sour spicy .. Its a side dish with ulam ( Anna ..loved ulams right? 😊) Eat rice with a fish/chicken curry ..n a lil bit sambal binjai with some ulam .....woah ... its a heaven ..hahaha
Pasar malam Besut Terengganu is the place where so many nice & delicious food selling 🥣🥓🍿🌯🍝🍜🍛🥤🧋thanks DanAnna for sharing nice vlog ☆have nice day &let's explore ahead 🌻🌴
54:51 that is probably Galangal😊 Probably something to try, instead of pointing with index finger, use thumb instead. There is nothing wrong pointing using index finger, but there is a certain politeness (Sopan in Malay) pointing using thumb and the locals will be surprised when you use the local Adat (Custom). Index finger pointing is used mainly for faraway places, road direction, direction to certain place or location, etc. But then most ppl would use a open palm. :)
It's called Old Ginger and Young Ginger. There is one more that looks the same it is called Galangal. Galangal use for tom yam , rendang, ayam masak merah & more dishes. in Thailand, they use it a lot. When you see it back you see the galangal is behind the old ginger.
Quite surprised that Anna able to understand a bit when the Thai lady speak Kelantanese dialect..Nice to see Dan n Anna exploring Pasar Malam, enjoying local foods n interacting with the locals, bagus👍
the popiah you had was coated in sweet chili sauce. but in kelantan and neighbouring besut, the sweetness can be overwhelming and drowns out the spiciness. perhaps next time get the ones that are not coated in sauce. you can have the sauce separate. it is quite typical around kelantan and besut for things to be overly sweet; drinks, sauces and even curries. when ordering drinks, it is not uncommon to request for it to be less sweet, 'kurang manis'.

Dan, Anna - you were eating Dokong and Salak fruit. You like them? Have you tried Cempedak? It's a fruit. Not sure if it's still in season. Try look for it in Pasar Malam (night market) or market (pasar).(malam = night).

New lesson for Dan, a new way of saying NOT (INTE) which is BUKAN, rather than NO (NEJ) which is TIDAK in Malay. Dan said “tidak mango” is not accurate, it should be BUKAN MANGA (not mango) ☺️😊🫶🏻
