Its is some sort of traditional Russian instrument but I have no idea what it looks like (nor how to spell its name) As to finding a genre for Diana. You need to listen to another dozen of her songs to realise that she cannot be pigeon holed. I'm not Russian. I don't understand Russian. I have zero problem looking for Diana Ankudinova's videos. I have zero problem finding information on this girl. All you need to do is FIND OUT WHAT she is doing right now..... no real skill there... So, how is it that you do not even know a thing about this girl? Can I hope that you bothered to look further into this artiste? It's a mystery how you had any difficulty finding this video. Questions on whether this is The Voice, on the instruments used.. and..... is 15 her age or the Episode number... SERIOUSLY?? Thanks ladies for the time and comments for Diana. Very quick here, yes she won 2 consecutive years. Considered a Dramatic Contralto with polyphonic overtones, very low and sounds like 2 people. Sings in her native Russian also English, French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Arabic and some German. She sings, acts, dances, draws, paints, plays piano and ukulele. Currently a freshman attending Gitis school of theater arts, simular to Juilliard in NY. Soon to release her first full cd/album, just turned 18 on May 31st 2021. Thanks got to go.

Diana won this competition and has many covers and is coming out with original music now that she is getting a bit older. Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. Because of this beginning, her speech was very undeveloped and she was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talent was quickly recognized and the rest is history.

As to finding a genre for Diana. You need to listen to another dozen of her songs to realise that she cannot be pigeon holed. Her voice teacher once said that at 14 Diana wanted to be able to sing everything, but later realised she would not train for opera as she would not have enough artistic freedom.

Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old.
Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared but she all sing songs from cartoons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started ...
During 2008 to 2012 Diana sang around 40 songs, including at competitions.
Diana's mother became her daughter's manager. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances, competitions, looking for sponsors is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She took extra sewing courses too. Since then, she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary.
Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win.
So, 2012 Irina’s family moved to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her.
In 2017 Diana went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. The break of voice made Diana’s voice even darker and deeper. She has mastered this time very professionally and has worked hard to bring back the lost high notes and has expanded her vocal range, currently from C3 to D6.
