I was surprised when I saw how Zucchini’s front toes are curved, but then I remembered that you got your pretty pigs from a rescue. Poor girl, her toes all curved wrong...but the other pigs love her and she’s getting much better care now!
Adorable! I just put down a new layer of bedding when an old one gets dirty. You can put down several new layers before having to clean it all out. Mine popcorn all over the place when I start putting down a new layer, handful by handful.
So my bro has this cat - and I saw this for myself so I'm telling you it's true - he would watch you clean the litter box before he goes to use it. So as soon as you finish cleaning it, you gotta clean it again cause he will stare at your face until you're done so he can go poop in a clean litter box!

even though I am taking a lot of care for my 2 buddies.. sometimes I am feeling really weird about investing that much money into food (in winter) and stuff.. like a whole part of the industry specialized on this sector.. like "wasting" tons of energy and material into entertaining your piggies and stuff..
Since the ultimate point of resources in society is to make people happy, I don't think it's a waste to spend resources on having guinea pigs if they make you happy.

I have a homemade cage with wheels that has two parts that can attach. I put my pigs in one of the sides and bring them outside while i clean both cages

Thanks! 2 pigs is totally fine. You have to be pretty crazy about pigs for 5, it can be a lot of work. And if you have bad luck you can end up with massive vet bills. There are more interactions to watch with more, but it can also mean more squabbles too.

@@cheeze7195 Ours are not scared of us, but they still don't like to be touched or picked up if they can avoid it. And they are still easily spooked by new people and situations. Is that the sort of stuff you mean or are they scared of being hand fed even?
@@cheeze7195 Could be a bit of a personality thing I guess, Zucchin is more suspicious of us than the others. Anything you could do to be around them more could help too, like having them where you spend the most time in the house so humans walking around and talking becomes more normal to them.

Just now as I was typing the comment my older guinea pig started bleeding. PLEASE HELP, what should I do there is blood coming out from his behind his ears. Please reply asap.
They will need to be split up into separate cages. In the short term a divider or whatever you can come up with is fine. I'm assuming this is two young males? (That is a fairly common story) From what I have heard they don't go back to getting along once they fight like this so they will need to live in separate side-by-side cages now. @@ItsPigs 1 guinea pig Is 1 year old and the other one would be like 1 or 2 months old. I got the new one when he was a baby and they were fine for a month. Suddenly last night they started fighting and I got extremely scared. The wound is healed a little bit but I really want them to bond together again. Otherwise I might have to return the new guinea pig away :((( or might probably get another guinea pig but I really dont want to do this. I think the new one is growing up and ended up starting a fight probably for dominance.
@@Gamer-wd3sj Unfortunately from what I've heard I don't think they will rebond. This is a common problem with males (you are at least the third person to report it in our comments). They don't fight until they reach puberty, so when you add a baby to a group you don't know if they will get along until they grow up. If you have a guinea pig rescue nearby they might be willing to swap pigs to find an adult male who is a better match.
@@gargoyle4807 soap is the BEST! I worry sometimes that I don't do good enough to clean them, so I purchase lots of animal cleaning stuff and I just feel it must leave a "slick" of the product. But now, I'll do soap and water always!

recently i buy a guinea pig and i want to question if is good to buy a cage at petsmart or do it by my way??
I recommend either the Midwest guinea habitat cage or building a C&C cage. A lot of cages that say they are for guinea pigs are actually too small.
I use wood type, or my 'mother does, of flooring I think it helps more than paper does

@@ItsPigs As for now they are in separate cages and I havent let them be together. I'll slowly try to reintroduce them tonight or tomorrow.

Is it necessary for a guineapig to have a companion?...arent they going to survive if its only a male?...its my 1st time to have a pet like them...
They are generally thought to do better with at least one guinea pig friend. The rescue we adopted from requires you have at least 2 pigs.
