Absolutely! Organic pumpkin spice soap timed for the opening of the season (ie., when Starbucks releases the lattes) would be a smash hit. :) Meanwhile, cannot get over how gorgeous this soap is - not only the dark blue but the softer blues and greys where it bled into the base. A real triumph.
Indigo is a very strong dye. When I've used it on wool, fabric, or paint, it has stained my skin. I'm curious if having it in soap (the thing used to wash off the blue dye) will keep it from staining skin.
one of my favourite artists RM put out an album in november called Indigo, with artwork inspired by botanicals and cyanotypes. Ive been making crafts inspired by it since then and had the urge to get some soap supplies JUST to make indigo inspired soap. it probably wasnt intentional but somehow YOU MADE THE PERFECT INDIGO SOAP!!! idk how but its perfect. crazy
Indigo is one of those lovely natural ingredients that is pH dependent for maintaining a vibrant hue of blue. The beautiful shades of grey are so much more lovely than charcoal. Well done. The soap is beautiful.

Ylang Ylang essential oil is beautiful, although one part of the scent always reminds me of an Australian made glue brand called Perkins Paste. It came in little round pots and the lid had the applicator attached - ah. The memories of childhood 😂 I remember using it in kindergarten and so it’s one of my foundation scent memories. Sadly, they don’t make it anymore 😔. But yeah, something about Ylang Ylang essential oil takes me right back to the 80s ❤
I'm so sorry. As a soapmaker, i think having to decrease your price there is super sad and I'ts part of why I stopped making soap. They want all the bullshit and fru fru , woo woo bullshit and think that is worth money. Phoney phoney, but pretty for a value, but don't under value the basics. People are science dumb.
My guess is a water melon soap that you like to do almost every year? did I guess right? I normally don't guess right but it would fit with a summer theme. Also I am not a huge fan of a fall soap but if it was natural ingredients maybe...If we had the extra money lol Husband has been out of work and my tiny farm isn't paying the bills....for the first time in years we were unable to pay our electric bill this month. I pray God will provide before it gets shut off but hopefully we have some time before that happens. I struggle as I am pregnant with our fifth baby (we wanted this baby as we wanted a large family and after my recent miscarriage I wanted nothing more than to fill the void but now I am so stressed with timing and well any time I get wet I fear it's blood I am sorry tmi just stressed I guess) okok enough with the sob story I know it will work out as God promises to take care of us and has in the past.
Nice look of naturals!! Yes a fall soap would be great with orange essential oil, a very small amount of ylang ylang, balsam and/or pine , cinnamon, clove and bergamot! But make orange the deepest scent! A wonderful fragrance

I've been a fan of this channel for quite a bit. I'm on disability so I don't buy much from her but I have bought a few things. I will say I only bought two of the regular soaps, the Rapunzel and one of those Christmas soaps. I think she said look like bacon and I bought simplicity more than once. There is only a couple that I was interested in so I can't tell you anything about the three I haven't tried. I have tried the rose, the lavender and the minted. The rows in the lavender pretty good but the minted I am in love with. I really like mint soaps, especially for when it's hot to be refreshing on a summer day. I have bought them more than once and I've actually bought some mint oils now so I can try to make something similar at home. But I would be using melt & pour because I'm not a professional soaper like her but it scratches the same itch
Sodium hydroxide is naturally occurring. It can be made with wood ashes and has been used in soap for more then a hundred years. They hydrolyze salt to make sodium hydroxide. It can be classified as natural. Also natural what does that mean anyways?

For fall i think a simply trio pack would be awesome. 3 half bars sold in a pack. 1 made to think of late summer meeting fall the 2nd being very Halloween scented and the 3rd fall greeting winter winds
I am glad you asked the question. I wanted to say maybe adding one that has tumeric. I know you don't make any health/skin treatment claims, however for those of us who like to have turmeric in our soap I think it would be wonderful to have that option.
Beautiful soap. As for the indigo powder, I found that it performs better when added to the lye solution. I've had some indigo soaps for months and it hasn't faded the slightest.
My guess is that next videos soap is a watermelon soap! Watermelon is an essential part of a pool party in my opinion. And yes to an autumnal Simplicity soap. Maybe with maple syrup? And a maple leaf stamp?

Indigo is so interesting. I have worked with it on textiles and you have to expose it to air for it to "take'' after soaking the fabric in it. So my tie dye, for instance, didn't go so well because it stayed tied up tight.

They have a blend called Highbrow that I love it. Have to try that indigo. None of mine turns blue, always an awful gray. Lovely soap

I love Indigo. For our Eucalyptus natural soaps, we blend it with some sea & French Green Clay and it gives the perfect color for Eucalyptus.

A warm orange cranberry soap would be excellent for fall and would still sell year round for your Simplicity soaps.

It might be fun to have a campfire and apple blended scent. I think it would make a fun handwashing sized soap for the sink. Maybe in an apple shape.

Indigo is a dye, does it not tint the skin grey when you use the soap? I know my laundry powder has indigo for blueing because its a staining dye
