Catlin has talents, obviously or the venues would be still at 3,000 people, not maxing out 19,000 plus. All kinds of records are being broken. Clark is - as of today - a better player than Taurasi. (Arguably than Taurasi ever was, but that's another debate.) But she has no chance of outplaying Taurasi because Sides could not reliably defeat a High School team.

The reason why Indiana got the #1 pick is because they are horrible. Without CC they are a single digit win team on a 40 game schedule. At best they would get 9. Just going lockdown on CC makes sense because most of the rest of the team shouldn't be in the league.

Mitchell is a classic case of being a star player on a terrible team. She’s played in Indiana for 6 seasons as the primary scorer so she never passed shots. Now her habits are so ingrained she can’t play any defense or pass the ball instinctively.
To put into perspective how incredible Caitlin Clark is and how incompetent Christie Sides. She played for 38 minutes and put up 9 shots. Yet somehow came away with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. And she's a point guard what the hell is she doing getting 6 rebounds?
But unbelievably, today's stats are almost exactly what she's averaged for the entire season? 16.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.6 assists and 1.5 steals. 😂❤

@@hottrakz I've only watched the highlights but I'm not surprised she was despondent. Her team mates and coach had no answer in defence, and their offensive plays sucked. It's been like that for the whole season, even when they've won it's only because the team they beat was even worse. The Chicago coach took a couple of games to work out how to defeat Sides, but other coaches can do it in one go.
There is a video of Bradley Beal talking on a Podcast about that 1 Season when Russell Westbrook played for the Wizards.

She got 6 rebounds because she played 38 minutes and just runs near the basket and grabs free easy rebounds when they happen to bounce her way. She got 7 assists because she played 38 minutes and got the ball 50+ times. She only got 9 shots because she has no idea how to get the ball anywhere but 25 or more feet from the basket.
No plays for Clark even now says it all. Clark works hard for her shots and passes then teammates just drop them. I'd be upset too if I was Clark. Sides will sink and die with her favorites.

If she is double why would she shoot the ball that would be a bad shot and then you would be calling her a ball hog and saying she needs to pass more. The Indiana and Chicago game was a prefect example of the two coaches were working together. The Vegas bookies had Chicago winning this game. The poor hardworking Americans put all their money on Indiana. We could see this by how bad the coaching was in the second half of the game.
