Now I am writing I have to say again that my former three piano teachers, i didn't learn this nice way of voicings, It feels the same as that I would have taken a lesson from you in America, I feel moved by the way that your share this precious information with "me" and it seems that you granted my question to do the Theme Stablemates, also a real present you gave me. i told you befor but it realy inspired me and yesterday my friend and bass player, arrived so we did play two Tunes. Blue Bossa, I have my own arrengement it uses actually 32 bars I augmentate the normal 8 rules to two times 8 and the second time bae 13 & 14 instead of the 1st time jsut 13th bar: Dm7b5 14th bar: G7b13b9 I reharm this to: 13th bar: Dm7b5 G7 (with melody: G - C G,-F 1 3 4 -8(8ths) 14th bar: Bm7b5-E7#9 B D E E---(8ths:)1234--- Than bar 15 a lick: (high octave)C-Bb F-Eb C Bb Eb C 12 34 5 6 7 >8(resolving in Dm7-G7 bar 16)(jsut regular 8ths al used), the bridge is than also augmented(the hole form, because you could see bluee bossa as 16 bars: 8 4- 4 so a A B C form: so the Bridge(B): Fm7 Bb7 Dm7-G7b9(Phrygian Dominant) Ebmaj7 I--Ithan the same sequenced: Ebm7-Ab7 ICm7-F7b9I Db IEb/Db I Dm7b5 G7 IBm7b5 E7b5I Am7b5 as a sub for Cm6 I Dm7b5 G7I than last 4 bars: Cm7 -Bb7 IAb7 Bdim I Cm7 Bb7 I Ab713b9 G7b9..I call this Corner Stone you could do the last 4 bars in Ebm as an intro with 3 times repetition of the first two bars...than the hole makes realy sense, because of the cyclic aspect of the nice intro in Eb Bb7b9 dominant related to the G7#9 of course, reflected in the last 4 bars this way the 32 bars work great also because the first 4 bars of the ending holds the climax, because of the rich harmonisation and the onexpated Am7b5, works realy nice...
Very tasty chord voicings and substitutions. Totally pro.
Such a great teacher. Thanks !
I'm so happy I found this man on youtube doing this amazing job, really a good deed. I love listening to how he explain stuff in such way that only those with a lot of experience can do. Thanks a lot for your videos.
Fantastic, love the reharm’s!
I have a new reharm coming out in a few days.
Brilliant thanks Tony. Really enjoying my journey, you’re a great teacher!
You are such an incredible person with a willing heart of gold. You've given life to my musician in jazz harmony and approach to playing standards. Am happy I found your channel. God bless you
also on the Ebmaj7 root in meldoie 3rd bar somehow I hear a dim acc. on The Root resolving of course same situation as the Abmaj7..
Excellent!
Great lesson as always, Tony. Could you at some point make a video on how to come up with good intros and endings? It would be much appreciated. Thanks again for your wonderful lessons.
Wow … you are so amazing man who could fall any people in love at piano jazz
Beautiful playing Tony 😍 I need to take notes as I watch your videos to keep track of all your great tips!!
Tom Jones arr. uses a E dim to go to Fm7(begin) is it possible to use Gm7b5-Bb/C-Fm7b5-Bb7 on bar 3 2nd time or is that too much, okay I see that those things you did coincidentally also Thank you i am going to practice your nice rules of voicing meldoie 1-7 1-5 1-5 1-5 LH etc. it sounds realy good, my wish is to get that real piano sound of the old days, so I feel this will bring nme closer, I liked your reharm it sounds realy beatiflul Am going to write out your reharm+ original & going to play. This is one of my favourite songs
Beautiful.
Great
Watched this video tonight again Tony I love it and thanks for giving me a mention towards the end.
Sounds good Tony!
Thanks for Sharing Tony i Always loved this Song From the Humphrey Bogart Movie Casablanca.
Keep it up I watch you everyday
Awesome stuff, Tony. Your singing is excellent as well as your playing.
Great stuff. Keep them coming
Super stuff! Thank you
Thank you very much for this magnificent arrangement. Congratulations from Spain
Also I guess that on the 5th bar, the Abmaj7(sub for F7sec Dom) a AbDim-(maj7) resolving to Abmaj7 colud be possible... or even combined with Abmmaj7 resolving to the Abmaj7/6 works also not bad in my ears...than nicely smoothly going up to the Am7b5 works great!
Hey Tony, thanks for your help with all those beautiful standards. I recently started to play La vie en rose together with a singer. It would be amazing if you could make a video about some tips on how to play the song and maybe even on how to accompany it. Have a great day!
Maximilian K.
Great song - got it on my to-do list , thanks.
This is excellent
Really good stuff
Amazing job … really appreciate your effort…. Thanks so much
and bar 3 I like also diminished Tonic and a dim chord at bar 8 something like Eb7 Db7#11(Triad Eb maybe) Gm7b5(9) Edim-major7 as a turn around
GREAT!
Hey Tony, great video as always. I have a question - why do people always avoid the clash. i understand that sometimes it sounds yikes but i thought it sounded great on the bflat 7
Muchas gracias

It would be great if you could please do the song Don't Blame Me.
nice!
Nice job, Antnee, as always.
Wondering if you would consider a Wayne Shorter tune, E.g.
Fall or Nefertiti or Pinocchio . . .
I find his tweezed sense of harmony fascinating.
PS don't be skeered a Santy Claus or any lyrics, for that matter.
The 1st has your back . . .
PPS l thought the piano sounded fantastic.
This standard (the bars 1-4)shows some simularitie's with it could happen to you, do you agree upon that one???
maybe also with cheek to cheek the first 8 bars?
Yes, I think so..
T. Can u do Blame it on My Youth please?
Many thanks for this tutorial Tony! You are a great teacher. Btw, there is only 1 page pdf on the reharm?
Yes - didn't do the bridge.
