I actually got my top teeth pulled today and they did a Bone Graft. Healing for 6 weeks plus. I am getting All on 4 top and Bottom. So they will not be removing Gum and bone on mine. They are building it up. I am 38 and will be getting zygomatic and pterygoid version of them.
@@HotChocolate-v5c you know nothing about my experience or plan. I just had mine done, they shaved no bone. You did No research in the latest all on 4 process. Did you even watch the video. Where they said in the 90s they removed bone? They dont have to anymore. I am getting Zirconia.
I liked your discussion, really shows how complex dentistry and specifically implant dentistry is. Something a lot of people don't appreciate. I went to Pitt Dental School as a patient for many years, certainly during the time Dr. Choi was there, and thought these kinds of discussions between students professors and residents gave a lot of enlightenment to me and made me a better dental patients since then as to what was being proposed and what kinds of questions.
It really just depends on the person's own situation in my opinion. Both all on X and 3on6 can look and function well so i think the 3on6 "fans" or cult following as some people will say is kinda like those gear heads and car people that are either a ford or chevy even mopar guy or girl that only loves that brand and hates on everything else 😂.
Interesting. 2.5 years ago I started my journey. I was quoted 85k and 65k for all on four (both arches). Here I am just under 2 years with 3 on 6 for 47k and loving life. Also, no sinus lifts needed 😊
At the 22.0 minute mark, when you say you would do 8 implants on a one piece bridge… does that mean 8 implants for upper and 8 implants for lower? One implant for every two teeth, with a one piece bridge?
Doc, if you like the brick look…. you should have used real brick. 😂 Block walls with brick-ties in the concrete mud that cements blocks together, small air gap, then exterior wall of real brick. Won’t fade from sun and extremely durable.
I'm personally a big fan of the titanium framed all on x over the monolithic zirconia. I've seen fractured full arch zirconia a couple of times, but I have never seen anybody break the full titanium arch.
When you do an All-On-Four…. how many implants do you typically use per fixture? You stated that you would personally prefer 8 implants per one piece solid fixture, whether it be FP1 or FP3. When you call it an All-On-Four… you don’t mean only four implants do you? Is that more of a name for the fixture? I’ve been to several consultations and it seems I had to talk them into using six implants per fixture for more stability. Now I understand why you may want 8 implants per fixture. I’m told I have a lot of jaw bone and it is thick.
My one top tooth 🦷 which was a crown broke 3 weeks ago and my dentist took the tooth out 3 days after because not enough tooth for another crown! Unfortunately she didn’t offer me to graft on the bone, so my question is can they do a bone graft now after 3 weeks as the gums is healed already but seeing the dentist ( not sure ) if the doctor is Pedodontist to plan an in plant on my tooth?
You can get an implant still, but I think you may need to heal with a flipper (a 2 or 3 tooth bridge with an artificial tooth in there). Then when the site has healed, have your permanent implant put in.(I'm not in the field, but I am getting all my remaining teeth pulled, then both top and bottom full arch bridge implants. No bone or gum removal envolved)
@@mika4670 I got a temporary denture but I’m seeing the implant specialist at my dentist clinic tomorrow 😌 not sure when the implant will take place… I suppose, she will advise me
awesome content. It answered my question about bone graft which I have to have soon. Are any of the alloplast bone grafts like bioglass any good for a molar socket that's going to have an zirconia implant?
What does the experience mean to feel as though there’s something restricting closure of the teeth for the last 1/8 inch or so? It’s like there is a rubber band on each jaw holding it open…and requiring effort to close…is that normal for all on 4 upper and all on 6 lower?
It seems that there are some people who want to argue about everything. Lol. Thank you for addressing the differences in "all on 4" and "3 on 6". I opted for the All on 4 myself (top only with natural teeth on bottom)and I couldn't be happier. I just received my zirconia finals, and I feel like a brand new woman. I have recently learned of a Dr who places 10-12 mini implants and cements a permanent zirconia bridge on them. Do you have an opinion about this procedure and the longevity of mini implants? Thanks in advance 🙏❤️
Is it not the case that all on 4 is best for patients with bone loss and 3 on 6 is best for patients without bone loss? All on 4 was created to treat edentulous patients. Frequently there's implant bridges on the top and all on 4 on the bottom due to those differences
I got the 3 on 6 at the utah smile clinic with the inovator of the 3 on 6 Dr Randy Roberts it was the best 50,000 i ever spent 25,000 top and 25,000 for bottom 2 years with my smile. Its all about the doctor who performing the procedure. So yeah you are hatting real bad
@@HotChocolate-v5cI am NEW to this struggle between THE 2 TECHNIQUES. I ♥️Dr. Choi.
