I have no clue why someone would want to watch someone talk into a camera when they can just listen. If you are telling a story visually, its' not a podcast. It's a tv show.

Understandable take. But it’s the same way everyone has different learning styles. Some people are more visual consumers. So having a visual component to your podcast allows for you to reach a wider audience.

Tell that to TH-cam, Spotify, Apple & even Netflix. It may not make sense to YOU but they way people consume content has changed and video is KING! Even the way we define "podcast," has changed b/c there's a 50% chance people most people assume it's a video podcast. Joe Rogan & Shannon Sharpe have proven this and it's the reason the even major TV networks are firing and laying off more and more people everyday b/c they recognize the shift in consumption! They're investing more in "direct to consumer" mediums like podcasting and video is the best way to go! There are still people who only listen just like there are still people who read newspapers and magazines but that number is getting less and less everyday!

@@adodemedia when you say visual you mean showing pictures and clips of what the podcast is covering?

@@waltjennette wow. I never had the attention span to watch Joe Rogan sitting across from someone talking for 3 hours. But if you have that much time on your hands why not.
