Hey DE!! While you're at it, how about making us able to place all essential orbiter stations in our Dormizones, and even use navigation from there? Those are currently some of most wasted potential things in the game, when they could be such a gamechanging breath of fresh air for the players! Imagine how much it would change things for us, if we were able to decide which one to use as our base of operations. Imagine if Dormizone was actually like a real home for us.. Just imagine how much potential there is!
I think the most important problem. This is the one mentioned in the video. price tags. I'm like a beginner decorator. I can afford to buy 7 walls a day and that’s it
I'd almost suggest a "Wishlist / Bookmark" feature, where you could see what's needed to get XYZ decoration from NPC1, as well as a community decorations suggestions box - similar to the Warframe Community Fashion, where you can see the breakdown of the Look. Perhaps if it's done similarly to TennoGen, where the creator gets something out of their work? Orbiter Decoration can look fantastic when done right, and I'd love to see more people interested. It'd probably be best if it was a room-by-room arrangement, or done so you could designate a particular piece of "furniture" and add it directly if you had the component parts. I don't know if it's been done on the player side of things, but an explanation of where the actual hitboxes are so you can place overlapping objects would be cool.
My two biggest wishes would be clean Zariman decorations and the full size weapon articulas that were mentioned. Operator chair skins are also a really good idea that I never would've thought of myself.
@Sayourei A lot of the decorations from the Zariman are worn down, or covered in dirt, stains and rust. You can see it most clearly with the benches and seats. I'd like to see versions of the decorations that don't have the wear and tear. Although, if DE don't already have clean versions of all the textures, it could end up being too much work to be worth it. Since they'd have to redo all the textures for feature very few people use or look closely at.
@@HA-ot6uf I think if something is meant to look in a certain way, then I don't see a point of adding another version of it. I mean... it WOULD be nice, but maybe it's better to just add more decorations.
@@Sayourei Yeah, it's not a wish I'd expect to come true. Unless they've already got the assets for it, making clean Zariman decorations probably wouldn't be worth the time (not worth the time from a business perspective, I'd still love it).
Thanks for compiling and making this list, hopefully someone at DE takes notice. Like you said if even one of these gets implemented we would be soooooo happy
I kinda wish de could give us some level of control of lightning the orbiter imo since sometimes it feels dark if you decorate in certain spots and the (Zariman flushmount light) doesnt even add any lightning to the orbiter its purely exists just for the looks. Also there needs to be like slots for when you wanna redecorate your orbiter but dont want to delete your previous work.
@@tsalih9876 They would just have to add a condition that if another object is within a certain zone around said chair, the interact button is disabled for that piece. Otherwise you could put a chair in a wall and sit on it to clip through and stuff
great vid, concisely stated and to the point... please DE if you see this at least take it into consideration. everything said in this video is a community request.
Crafting decorations would be an excellent addition! Get resources from different places to get decorations from that part of the game, it would be awesome!
I think not many people customize much because... I'm pretty sure not many people know how💀 I mean like, it can be tedious and VERY grindy, and some people just lack the creativity. I envy people who can make great looking dojos and orbiters. Not just for their skill, but the pure amount of mental dedication🌚
I personally would love the ability to change textures/colors of tiles similar to the Void Shells; like you could get way more mileage from existing tiles just by changing the color or textures. I’m surprised the Zariman stuff didn’t include it considering how Void Shells were introduced with that content and Hombask sells Void Shell content.
As someone who doesn't really decorate much, i would still love to see most of these options. 2 things to note: First, the capacity limit is most likely a server space/engine limitation, so if it's the former, they could charge plat for an expansion easily. It it's the later however, you're kind of out of luck. Second, it would actually make more sense to have chopsticks rather than a fork, all the Asian influences and all.
I swear, any time I see someone's Orbiter decorated like that I get discouraged from even TRYING To make mine look good, cause I'd just end up being a copycat
You shouldnt be. Most Orbiter decorators are actually fine with being copied- as long as you give credit (!!!!) to the original work and the Person that did it. I even made Timelapse videos of most of my Orbiter rework so ppl can see what i use and how i did it. th-cam.com/video/gWNWM7EQeFs/w-d-xo.html
Not gonna lie, not being a decorator myself one bit, the first thing I thought of what could be added is loadouts to the arbiter... and then you also reminded me why I never did much decorating. Most of the cool stuff is behind a timegated grind. Not even just a grind but timegated. Cannot just go "ah, dunno what to do so I will farm some resources for decorations", no, it's tied to a daily cap and that's a different kind of grind
That pricing thing is my biggest issue in a lot of games that have a decorating side activity like this. It's always really rough to have to put important resources into decorating that could have gone towards making progress in the game. One could argue that decor or fashion or whatever is meant to be an endgame activity, but I personally like it best when it's something I can chip away at as I work through the game and spend longer in the space I'm gonna end up decorating. Being able to have an idea for something that would fit nicely in a spot and directly start working on it without worrying I'm gonna be setting myself back would be nice. I myself am a decorating secondary at best. I don't have an overly strong creative drive for these kinds of things but I do like noodling around with them when I have a spare moment, but the forma costs and timers for dojo decorating and particularly the platinum costs for orbiter decorating do a pretty solid job of stunting my interest.
Id probably do horrible things for orbiter skins. Imagine you buy, lets say a skaut or xiphos, and your orbiter interior & exterior match the look, dimensions & style. Now if there were skins for them, such as corpus, grineer or entrati...
Aquarium room, npcs, somachord to theme rooms with music De promised all that as far back as 17 and never did any of it. Im still waiting even if de doesnt care about us enough to add it
I don’t disagree at all with the things presented here. I’m all for adding stuff to the game. The video and the discussion of niche communities just made me think of the meme with the kids in the swimming pool, one getting more attention from their mom, and then the skeleton at the bottom. IMO Mandachord community is the skeleton. We have one guy that did a ton of work for it, and they added shawzins which are cool, but otherwise Octavia’s capacity to make actual music is just not there.
The day we can actually move our interactables is going to be a glorious day. I want to place the foundry where I want it

That seems cool. However, I sont what I place they you'd get thats cozy and relaxing to have all that in there.
This is the main reason i dont use dormizone, i want to but i cant do anything there so i always just stay in my ship
I think the most important problem. This is the one mentioned in the video. price tags. I'm like a beginner decorator. I can afford to buy 7 walls a day and that’s it
yea, i honestly think this is the number 1 reason why most people dont bother with decorating.

Being able to use some of dojo peices, like the orokin tiles.
Well Done Captain ! We appreciate you ❤
Thanks for this video and I hope DE will pay attention to it!
a hundred times yes! just implementing SOME of the listed changes would be godsent, especially removing redzones and camera clipping
Thanks for making this. Hope DE sees it, man.

Watched it all the way through, must admit, thoroughly impressed by the end

Being able to interact with chairs and benches and having ACTUAL SITTING EMOTES for them should be #1
They tend to add redzones to any interactable decorations, so that might actually make life harder for us decorators

Great video, well articulated and still to the point I hope we have someone at DE who loves decorating as much as we do to help push this along
Bro when you went full German about the spoon I lost it! Like yeah I 100% agree but GOTDAM was that hilarious!
i was just expressing my admiration for hombask *cough*

as a not decorator e realy like how you guys deco and i think DE could put the option to "apply" decorations in the orbiter like we can with frames
maybe bypassing redzones and moving consoles could be unlocked at certain mastery rank thresholds so new players dont accidentally shut themselves off

I'd like to have an orbiter look link like we have for warframes. I suck at decorating but i know people who have awesome orbiters.
redzones is the only reason i dropped decorating the moment i tried. Me, a competitor at path of exile Hideout contests.
Give the people what they want!
Please reduce the cost of the zariman spoon to 1 standing each (I dont have an addiction I swear) great video keep it up🍪🍔👌🏻🍲🥭
This guy is going to buy more capacity just so he can have a spoon-lined floor

Possible update name: Cozier Quarters
Or something like that

Hope for more decorations from the entrati lab, no-rotations from vendors, and use old recourses like nanospores to buy decorations.
The problem is when your only room with capacity left is the helmith room... The things I would do for more capacity or orbiter loadout slots...
Thats me! 8:13😯
Thank fkn gods someone mentioned the stupid vendor prices.... Especially at hombask and grandmother...................
How do you get those ceiling lights to turn on?
you are the best

I'm hoping the 1999 update has some neat decorations, the preview area has some items that would be quite nice.
Oh man...I wonder how many R5 arcanes I would have if it wasn't speeding it for walls .-.
yeah... yeah, this video's got the Right Stuff.
