@GiantMoth What it does is immitate what the gadget does in the show, except the part where you'd slam it down and become an Alien. So, it lacks a real use, it's more of a pretty precise replication of the one from the show for kids to imagine that they turn to an alien, slam it down and transform.

You shoulda gotten the newer Ultimatrix instead, it has clear green plastic and the grey parts are painted silver. Looks less toyish and actually good for a display piece

The point of the toy is to select your alien and to slam it down with your hand and you pretend to be that alien... It's kinda fun for kids i guess. A funny thing is that most people don't realize this is a reboot of an old DC comic from the 60s and 70s called "dial h for hero" where a kid would dial up a number on his wrist band and turn into a monster.
