I will be performing a neck reset on an identical FG-150 in the next couple days, and was interested in how you drilled the steam hole at the 15th fret. Did you drill straight down, or did you have to angle the hole(s) toward the headstock or bridge to get to the pocket? Thanks LNS
I am sorry, but I do not know FG412's neck joint so far. Depending on the manufacturing term, and lot, the glue might be changed. Thank you for your comment !!!
With today’s technology, why in the world are guitar necks still glued? Bolt on marriaging of the woods does not make the tone suffer to 99% of us. Taylor guitar construction is engineering that overall is superior and more consistently accurate than a dove tail glued into place.

Hello can you tell me if on the Yamaha FG 412 12 string the neck joint is a dovetail? Or is it more complicated?
